But it also quotes two surverys about the average number of a persons sexual partners through his/her lifetime.

"One survey, recently reported by the U.S. government, concluded that men had a median of seven female sex partners. Women had a median of four male sex partners. Another study, by British researchers, stated that men had 12.7 heterosexual partners in their lifetimes and women had 6.5."

US Survey:
average number of sexual partners for men/women = 7/4

UK Survey:
average number of sexual partners for men/women = 12.7/6.5

To be honest, I have absolutely no idea how the surveys were conducted, I'd assume that you have to actually ask old people how many sexual partners they had because if you ask a 22 year old he can say "4 partners so far" but he can end with either 5 or with 50 when he dies.

You can usually add about 1.5 times to the answer your wife or giirfriend gives you.
They seem to feel they dont have to count a few, like one night stands etc.
I think you can subtract about the same from some guys.

In many cases there's plenty I would like to forget and when asked there are one's I forget that I probably would love to remember. I think in many cases when people arent lieing they also honestly forget. So it's a cool survey but doubt it's accuracy

I would definitely blow the curve on that study. In 25 years of adult life with sexual activity I'd say I'd be up over 75 easily.

Why through the 80's alone it was insane, I don't think I can recall any friends of mine who didn't bang at least a few dozen girls during that decade. AIDS was unheard of, but it wasn't unheard of to do 3 different chicks in a weekend.
