Yea I guess you are right. It takes a brave filmmaker to release a movie called Superbad. Fortunately for Mottola and friends, it's impossible to use the title to describe the quality. And, while Superbad may not be "supergood," it's engaging enough to be worth paying full admission prices.

the key in comedies is that it never is even the least bit serious.
