exactly...this means your getting to that age where you need to start looking to settle down and get a family yourself. i'm in the same boat as you. 28 years old and all my exgirlfriends are either getting pregnant or getting married. all my guy friends are starting to get married also. it's time to grow up for me is what i've been thinking more and more lately.

Baal.PitBull 08-22-2007 08:08 AM

damn you're right man. At 20 something you should really be looking to invest in something like a rocker or a walker.

Casa Nova 08-22-2007 08:11 AM

lol Just be glad it isn't your's.. but on that note, once your friends are out getting married etc, it's usually a sign that it will soon come for you.

BuggyG 08-22-2007 08:12 AM

damn.. ship em over to me
i'll shoot scenes with them! hehehe :thumbsup

CaptainHowdy 08-22-2007 08:12 AM

Feel lucky! You're a free man, uh?

Sansa 08-22-2007 08:17 AM

Late 20's is when most womens' "ticking clock" turns into a time bomb. They start thinking if they don't settle and have babies immediately their life will lose its purpose. Get used to it, that's how it is. Also be aware of it since at this age womens perception of things is more skewed than it usually is and they all have an agenda. They might not be aware of it but they do. They will play a super powerful mindfuck with you and before you know you'll be all "settled in" with them. It's a fucking trap. I speak from experience, I am super lucky to get out of one with only minor bruises.

headless ghost 08-22-2007 08:17 AM

well if you want we can get you on Murray Povich and you can play "who is the Daddy?"

Same thing here.

I'm 25, but every girlfriend I've had over the past 8 years or so seems to be pregnant and engaged or married by now. My male friends, meanwhile, are all in serious relationships, have regular jobs, etc.

I, on the other hand, haven't even finished university yet, don't have a job (though I make more money than any of my friends - gotta love the internet), and haven't ever been in a "serious" relationship with anyone I considered getting married to or having children with.

I'm starting to feel like that guy in Knocked Up :Oh crap

sniperwolf 08-22-2007 08:23 AM

then just be happy for them... :)

Don't fall for the peer pressure! Not bowing to peer pressure shows true maturity.

Ben - AWEmpire 08-22-2007 09:10 AM

Yeah its like:
1. I hate you
2. Im leaving the country with my new boyfriend
3. We broke up, because im pregnant, and you're the father
4. Ok im not pregnant, didnt have a boyfriend, i wanted to get you back, I love you
<some time passes>
5. Disappears! (and now we are free...)

You can add some ' I'll commit suicide ' & co.

Lifes good.

Sosa 08-22-2007 09:24 AM

Aquarius 08-22-2007 09:25 AM

I know what you're talking, all my friends are getting married now.

tomeatsdinner 08-22-2007 09:31 AM

You are lucky its not yours.. But if you want to be a dad you start working it out..

riabanana 08-22-2007 09:46 AM

If you're just that anxious with your exes getting pregnant why not make yourself a dad? Get your girl preggy!

Devin 08-22-2007 10:01 AM

They're are just trying to get your attention. That's how far women
are willing to go to play the game. Tell them you are not coming back
no matter what they do. Call they're bluff, tell them to get married!:1orglaugh

Why do so many people fall into this kind of thinking? I'm 29 and seeing the same things and my girlfriend is always bugging me that we aren't married, aren't having kids. My little sister is going to have a baby in 2 days but just because others are doing it...why should i?

Do it because its something you want, not because its "time to grow up". You'll just get yourself into something you regret.

polish_aristocrat 08-22-2007 12:15 PM

I feel ya...

just two days ago someone asked me if im not getting married yet...

frostyimpressions 08-22-2007 12:19 PM

All my cousins who are younger than me are getting knocked up. They call me the spinster of the family.

Could be worse. Once or twice a week, my mother feels the need to tell me that she wants grandchildren :disgust

rvincent 08-23-2007 07:05 AM

irinasp 08-23-2007 07:13 AM

just be happy for them) it's their life and they can do whatever they want! never look at what others do, live your own life!!!

that is such bullshit. nobody NEEDs to "settle down". it's the settle down that needs everybody it can get.

unless society starts paying top bucks for settling down, they can shove the spam.
