The latest Ghost story at my house
 

Quick recap for those who have missed out in the past.

Faucets have turned themselves on, when shut off in one bathroom, they are turned on in another.

Dog who was old, could not jump very high, I found him on my king size bed which is very high for him.

Full bottle of water on cabinet in the kitchen somehow just fell onto the floor.

Now the newest story. Once again my roommate was out of own, this stuff always happens when she's on the road, never happens when others are here.

I'm sitting on the couch playing poker and watching t.v. when I hear a beep. The alarm is set, and it sounds sort of like the keypad beep. I go to the front door, and as I am approaching it I hear the beep again, it now sounds like it's coming from either the keypad by the garage door, or in her bedroom.

So, I head that direction, as I am going past the kitchen I hear the beep, I find out it's coming from the oven. The timer on the oven was set. I didn't set it, I have not used the oven personally in weeks. The last time the oven was used by my roommate was during a dinner party over a week ago.

So, I turn the timer off. I turn around to go back to the couch and I hear the beep. When I turned around, the timer is set again. I turned it off, and that's it. It has not come back on again, and it has been two days.

maybe you just have a short in the wiring or maybe it's a breaker problem.

Yeah, this being an electrical thing could be any of those things. It's just a lot of weird stuff has happened in this house...LOL.

And if it were a short, or breaker issue it would still continue would it not?

So whats the history of the house? Maybe you should check out the library or somewhere for public records and find out who died there. For fun of course..

I was at a friends ancient farmhouse many years ago. His wife and kid were out, so it was him, myself and one of my brothers just hanging out. So we hear some tap tap tapping sound from the attic. The guy immediately freaks out really bad saying Oh my God and pacing, and my brother and I are like, what the hell is wrong, what was that? And he tells (*)us that he heard that sound before and when he looked up there, he saw a little kid playing.

So he gets out the ladder to look up in the attic and he opens the hatch and peeked and saw nothing, but leaves the hatch open and the ladder there just in case. We think he's lost his mind, but ok. An hour or so later I walked into the kitchen and glanced up there as I walked by and I saw a kid looking down from the attic and was so startled I dropped my glass... He looked up there and didnt see anything at all.

Now.. I dont know if I saw a ghost, or if the power of suggestion was really playing tricks on me, but it was freaky as fucking HELL..

(*) while I was typing this my keyboard stopped working and it turns out the batteries were dead.. freaky though huh? Damn things have been in this keyboard forever and decided to die in a ghost thread, lol shit.:helpme

that's a little creepy, when I lived up north, my house was 662 and next door was 666, where my friend lived, I would go there and lights would turn on by themselves, ceiling fans would too. and silverware would get dropped on the floor , out of the drawer itself....it can get really scarey at times

Have you checked out the history of your house? Did someone die there or something? Personally, I don't believe in ghosts because I've never seen one before.

scary and strange. I am in belife that it all has natural explanations, but it sure sounds spooky.

I like hearing other peoples ghost stories.

We've had more than our fair share of our own. Some people think we make the shit up... :1orglaugh

The house is fairly new, only about 4 years old, but there was a previous owner.

Maybe find out the history of the property it was built on then.. any historic events?

I know there are believers and disbelievers... but to me magic is just the things that science hasn't figured out yet.... and disbelieving the afterlife or the paranormal simply because they haven't seen proof is silly.. People can't see antimatter either, but science knows it exists.. Don't listen to any haters, do your footwork and ask around, you might find out something that changes your life.

it depends first of all on the amp-age of your service and secondly what else you may have on at the time this occurred (had an ex who is an electrician).

if it continues call an electrician and have that looked at because it could be serious.
