Lots of hits
 

I have a index page that is nothing but a banner farm that got 10,000 hits in the last hour it says 5,000 bookmarks and none are unique. I am using click through sponsors and the traffic is unproductive $0 in the sponsor stats. What in the hell is this?

Why would someone hitbot that page? Does a hitbot eat bandwidth?

I had something similar once. I deleted all the subdirectories of my domain. There was a old cj sites on it, and different other sites which where pretty dead.
The error traffic went to my main page (this should have been only like 300 visitoras a day ). I got tons of hits, but absolutely no clicks or so. I got like 10k. This burned alot of bandwith. I saw the hits where comming from a site, which was blacklisted in my cj script. Because i deleted everthing the hits where comming through.
