Domain name trading?

Is there an appropriate way to buy/sell domains?
I wish to buy a domain name I have in mind that I've checked and it isn't taken.
Then I wish to resell that domain name for more hopefully.. Also I looked on godaddy.com and noticed this CashParking..

What is CashParking?

check out greatdomains.com and sedo.com for domain auctions... also i've had good luck on ebay picking up some for $9 that I flipped for 5k+ ;-)

hopefully a domain guru like slavdogg will post more useful information for everyone here

Parking is a good way to help determine domain value.

Checkout these guys for domain parking:

I appricate the fast feedback, however I'm also looking for a how to, or instructions if you will. Like can I just buy the domain name, then take it to someone who "parks" the domain, (btw how much does "parking" make per month?), or do I just put it on godaddy.com's domain auctions?

ya know, i found a guy the other day following a different business model where he contacts the domain owners listed on sedo.com (free parking and acutions btw) asks for a quote to buy the domain. Then asks if you had it appraised and to show him the cert. When u show him the cert he says he'd like 15% commission, and he asks permission to act as an agent in this domain broker....

Thats alil over my head there. But from what I understand, I buy the domain name from say www.netfirms.com. Then if I want to park it, I look into parking it with a company. Otherwise I can register with godaddy and put it on the auction.. the broker seems good and all but 15% commission is kinda alot, and I don't want to have to pay for a appraisal if thats at all possible.

I would buy some lube first, if you don't know what you are doing, you will most likely get fucked...
