Today is my Wedding Anniversary

9/9 Happy Anniversary to me being married and all.
My hubby forgot so I emailed him to remind him lol

I am pretty down on the whole thing, since were in a bit of a argument yesterday (not good on your anniversary) and he is still not talking to me.

So my advice to all you guys out there!

Even if you had a fight with your wife, don't ignore her on your wedding anniversary, its a crusher. Unless of course you really really want to get to her (he is doing a good job at it!) than just ignore her on your wedding anniversary.

So, he has left for today and won't be home until like 10-11 pm tonight. I guess I go out and buy myself some flowers and put them on the coffee table

:(

Marriage carries a life sentance, and unlike monopoly, there is no get out of jail free card... The fuckers always sting you!

Brian911 09-09-2002 03:05 AM

give him $2.95 for a trial membership and your ref code :winkwink:

9/9 is a nice date though

Poor steffie. He'll prolly feel like an asshole when he realises what he's done. AND if he has any sense he'll make up for it. Congrats anyway, how many years??

steffie 09-09-2002 03:20 AM

We got married on 9/9/99
but lived together 3 years prior.

Yeah well, he is pretty stubborn, so even if I would offer him the Blowjob (I thought about that!) he probably would turn me down and goes to bed.

I tried talking to him a bit this morning but he just basically ignored me. It's his way of the argument. That can take up to a week.

Frustrating!

SexyMarie 09-09-2002 07:22 AM

Don't worry, Steffie. They are all the same...

Find a script which will count down the days before next year's anniversary and will send him an e-mail reminding him about it each single day...

Leave out the 'unsubscribe' option :)

beerbust03 09-09-2002 07:28 AM

Happy Anniversary Steffie.

Men just naturally forget about the sentimental things we remember. We are good for that, they aren't. Hopefully he'll make it up to you. If not go out and spoil yourself.

Fletch XXX 09-09-2002 07:46 AM

Yeah.

we are terrible creatures.

Hi, Steffie...You two picked a great day for an anniversary.....mainly because today is my birthday...

So, congratulations on your marriage....

I'm sorry to hear you two had a quarrel on this day of days...celebrating the day you got married, to me, is one of the bigger holidays.....

It's not that I'd need a whole lot of presents...acknowledgement is enough.....kisses and hugs are cool.

Leave him a note on the front door....if the fight is your fault:

"Dear Hubby:
While I realise you are not happy with me, please leave our argument at the door for today. We have been married for three years now and I would like to celebrate with you. We can resume the fight tomorrow."

If the fight is his fault:

"Dear Hubby:
Today is our anniversary. I am no longer mad at you. When you open the door, remember that today, three years ago, we celebrated our love by getting married. I have lots of hugs and kisses for you."

It's never fun fighting with a loved one. :-(

I have a difficult time wrapping my brain around this whole marriage thing ~ I've seen too many fail lately and it causes such drama. Kudos to you for walking down that isle, but don't ever expect anyone to fulfill your needs for you (I'm sure you already knew that).
So forget about him, go give yourself the best anniversary date you've ever had, and make sure you're satisfied before you roll over and go to sleep :winkwink:

To everyone else ~ here's what I've learned; if you never have feelings for anyone, then they'll never be hurt.
Genius I know ~ you can thank me later.

That's true. I totally agree. I told her the same thing, to go spoil herself. :)

Lack of feeling brings the coldest of feelings.

Being alone.

Learning to control your feelings is more the battle. That and co-dependency.

Dianetics.
