I think I lost touch with metal...what are the top ten bands out now? I need to get back to my headbanging roots...been listening to kids music WAYYYYY too much lately.

The Black Crusade is coming to Brisbane later this year. Machine Head, Arch Enemy and Trivium. Next month is Job For A Cowboy (think Despised Icon in terms of sound). And just gone was Slayer, Mastodon and Lamb of God.

There's a bunch of contenders for top metal bands of the moment right there.

Megadeth must be in the top 10.

I think I'd wet myself with excitement if I found out Dimmu were coming to Australia.

Saw their show and was more impressed by Lamb of God.

I just saw the Slayer / Marilyn Manson show a few weeks back. Rocked! My ears are still fucking ringing.

I'd say Lamb of God has to be somewhere near the top. As well as DevilDriver, Meshuggah, Megadeth and MachineHead. :2 cents:
