Couple Attempts To Name Their Son "@"
:warning
August 17, 2007 6:41 a.m. EST Nidhi Sharma - AHN News Writer Beijing, China (AHN) - In an attempt to give their baby boy a unique name, an unidentified Chinese couple is planning to name him "@", the symbol used in email addresses. The couple insists that when translated in Manadarin the commonly used Internet 'at' symbol sounds like 'love him.' According to AP, a Chinese government official quoted the couple's proposed name as an example of 'bizarre' names creeping into the Chinese language. It was not clear if the police, who issues identity cards, rejected baby "@" or accepted his application. LOL ... This will be his email: @@china.com .... |
