This is the problems with "americans" and "soccer".

Firstly, don't say repect and fuck in the same breath.

I know soccer is new to you so ill cut you some slack. There is a thing called "consistency" which is what makes a great free kick taker. Now it is well known that robert carlos' goal is possibly one of the best free kicks ever taken and scored, but beckham consistency was/is one of the best in the world, watch this video:

What makes him a hero is when its 2-1 down against greece in the 93rd minute and he has missed 5 free kicks and he takes it and scores to put is in the world cup - moments like that make him a total legend.

I said I respect Beckham as he was an amazing player, and is known for making tons of amazing free kicks. There was a thread on GFY about how amazing Beckham is. I don't disagree, I am just saying that this is one of the best free kicks you'll ever see. It's just amazing, nothing more to say about it.
