Visa changed their rules..

I've heard that visa changed their rules for accepting transactions for the extreme niches like scat, bestiality and rape for some reason...

Does anybody knows something about it? Does it means that there will be some changes for some sponor who's active here that sells "extreme" niches?

Sure.. Visa is now leading the way in scat, rape, bestiality, snuff and CP - any obscene or illegal content, they will handle :thumbsup

no surprise their!!!

mattz 08-16-2007 05:21 PM

Not surprised, also works for poker sites now too

Dunno if it is true, but perhaps Visa is seeing $$$$$$$$ signs.

Has the US DOJ ever held Visa's feet to the fire on this? Or, it it just another case of a big corporation with big influence getting away with murder?

Will they fry some small webmaster as a scapegoat?

Berner 08-16-2007 10:40 PM

Ofcourse theirs a good reason for it to ban that kind of shit!

But does this mean visa and maybe mastercard can deside what we can buy online?
What if they would say ohhh we don't allow teen anymore?

Deej 08-16-2007 10:44 PM

this is supposed to be something new? from what i understand VISA has said these niches are a no-go for years now, exactly what has changed? is VXSbill finally going to stop processing for all those "grandfathered" accounts..?

You can buy anything you like online - but don't expect card companies and other parties to become involving in a role of transacting illegal/obscene content. It doesn't quite work like that :)

Exactly chupacabra - nothing has changed - and probably never will :thumbsup

i have also heard rumors that for some reason, Visa is starting to frown on the sale of nuclear weapons and under age sex slaves online

Ryan St. Germain 08-16-2007 11:15 PM

this isn't new at all; t's been happening for years. Even softer bondage sites now have a ton of regulations lest they be dumped by visa. Try and get a merch account in the us for bdsm; if you can do it, i'd love to hear how you managed it.

I always find it interesting where they draw the line. I have seen Matt Williams from Hogtied talk about this. The seemingly arbitrary differences like where a certain act happens chronologically in relation to the others can make a difference somehow...

not heard anything yet........
try to confirm everything......
