CCBill Clients?Introductory No risk FREE Level3 Content Delivery Network Trial

Hey CCBill Clients…

Along with Cavecreek Web Hosting we are excited to announce a special 1-MONTH FREE Content Delivery Network (CDN) trial offer.

In a nutshell, it’s a way to get content to your users lightning quick. For the past few months CCBill has been testing Level3 CDN on the delivery of our Payment Forms and we have seen a 50% reduction in the overall load time of the form images! The setup was simple, quick and we were up and running in less than two days. To learn how it works, please go here: http://cavecreek.com/cc_delivery_serv.html

Limited time offer, we are accepting participation on a first-come, first-serve basis for a limited # of clients (under 50). You have to be a CCBill Client who is running us as primary, with at least 20 transactions per day. Implementation time must be less than two week or your slot will be given to the next person in line. The CDN Trial offer includes up to 100 Mbps** of sustained usage for the first 30 days at no cost and no commitment to buy (no automatic renewal).

Contact your CCBill Account Executive if interested. If you don’t have a CCBill Account Rep, please contact either Gary Jackson at [email protected] or Brian Lowy at [email protected] for more details.

Thanks for taking the time to read this

** Special trial overage pricing will be charged at $25 per Mbps. Post trial pricing will vary.

CDNs are expensive to operate, $25 is a fairly competitive rate. (for starters at least)

Masterchief 08-15-2007 06:03 PM

could you post a link to something that's hosted on your CDN

pr0 08-15-2007 06:05 PM

$25 per mbps overage is fairly competitive actually for high end b/w

good stuff ccbill :thumbsup

Dirtydesignz

First month is completely free. No Commit, No Future Contract just a real Free Trial. (Not even a pre checked upsell LOL) That is right 100 Mbps of sustained bandwidth for free on Level 3 Global CDN. So if you were paying $50 per meg at your current host it is like getting 5k for free for the month to test it. I personally have seen what it did for CCbill?s signup forms so I know it will increase our customers tours/members areas.

This is just one of the new exciting things over the next several months that CCbill will be releasing for it customers.

Let me know if you have any questions

25/Mbps is a great rate, considering akami charges around $1/Gb transfered

let me post some FAQs about CDN, this may help alleviate confusion to what a CDN is and how it works

What does CDN stand for and what is a L3 CDN?
A L3 Content Delivery Network is a Level3-controlled network of servers around the globe. When you ?offload? your content on a L3 CDN your content gets distributed over this global network and as a result, when your users access your content, they get it from the closest ?node?, rather than from the location your servers are at

How easy is it to set up?
No additional equipment required. The host name DNS is redirected to Level 3 and they start to cache right away. The system has tremendous flexibility so you can determine what gets cached and what doesn?t and for how long. Set up can be done in a few days

How can I trust CDN?
CDN technology has been around for more than 10 years and every major website in the US uses it in some form. The adult market has not had access to this before since most of the major player will not allow adult content on their network. Level 3 with Cave Creek has made a significant investment in this space.

How would CDN benefit me?

Revenue - Clients have reported speed increases of 50% in load times for images and videos on their tours, which can translate to shorter wait times for the users and a higher numbers of clicks sent to the signup form

Availability - with better performance and less dropped connections users will have higher likelihood to complete transactions.

Scalability ? If there is an expected or unexpected spike in traffic (ie: a mention on Howard Stern ) CDN allows you to scale your server presence automatically so that sudden success does not turn into a missed opportunity.

Who uses CDN?
The list of people who use CDN is a who?s who from CNN to Disney, yahoo, google, etc. Mainstream web sites have been benefiting from this technology for years.

How can you offer CDN services at such a low price?
Because of our relationship with Level 3 on the Bandwidth side and our relationships in the adult market Level 3 has extended as an exceptionally low price for the service which we in turn are passing on to our customer base.

Mark find out if your techs are familiar with SilverLight yet, and if so can it be used in conjunction with our current htaccess setup somehow. :upsidedow

Let me make clear that $25 is the price for overage just for the trial we are talking about, its not going to be the price for all clients and their usage. The CDN prices much like bandwidth with pricing discounts based on miminum commitment levels. We also have a pricing plan for gigabytes transferred as well as one for the 95th percentile, whichever suits our clients better. We can get you a custom quote based on your usage.
