Anyone here use SKYPE? I was thinking to start pushing this more as a primary form of contact between NA and affiliates and was curious if anyone had any reasons for it or against it.

I do... theres a few others here who do as well.

skype is pretty much all i use now

i do....works well with my international clients

have for years and now have the full on paid deal .. love it and ise it all the time .. have skypein with an LA number to keep all my contacts in the area down there in touch for less to them .. and it goes directly to my cell anytime anywhere on the planet...

hell no, no reason to...I hate the phone

Used it for awhile but the lag was so bad I quit using it. I have a two way satellite connection for Internet access. That is what caused the lag. Not Skype.

Skype is the best IM IMHO.

Skype is a cool business tool with a great interface :)

I use Skype daily. I work from home and don't have a home phone; My partner and I talk on the phone two or three times a day at least so why burn up cell phone minutes.

I even have the little skype phone which is handy.

With a biz partner in Canada, working deals with other owners in the PI, having a crew shooting in Asian full time, it saves a ton of $$$

I do but prefer google talk simply coz it saves chat history in your gmail
account making it accessible regardless on which machine you were or are.

The few times I've used it (Central America, Japan) the reception has been awful.

I use it for affiliate support, but there aren't very many affiliates using it at the moment.

I do, never had any problems with it.

I use it in talking to my students in Korea. :P

Not a bad stuff, if you chat with it it stores the history locally as a html which ain't that bad.

Calling is clean which I can't say of many phone networks that cost you a fortune, for example the only classic way I can get a clean phone call with our Florida partner for the DVD market is if I call from my Vodafone cell, which costs a fortune - the bigger company the bigger ripp off.

Add and call "CarlosPrague" if you would ever need anything (ANYTHING) in Prague..

Skype is cool, ICQ can not even come close...

I used Skype and still use it. No probs until now. You get good results if the 2 internet connections are good, otherwise you will get the signal with noise.

I only started using Skype and MSN Live call services when I got to Europe, and I must say, I really like em. I wouldn't object to using it for chatting with friends, but IM still seems to do the job for that. They are awesome for making calls overseas. $.02 per minute is awesome.

I love Skype... Jake got me into it a while back.

With the IMAC its amazing how clear and easy it is to use.

I wish the Naughty America affiliates would add me and call me when they want to give input.
