7 months for murder

If it was a man killing his wife he'd gotten life or the death penalty. Bitches get away with everything.

-- After spending a total of seven months in custody, the Tennessee woman who fatally shot her preacher husband in the back was released on Tuesday, her lawyer told CNN.

Brother Bilo 08-14-2007 02:58 PM

Wow, and working on getting custody of her kids again? That is fucked up. Damn, she worked the system like it was her bitch.

Secksy 08-14-2007 02:59 PM

Have you been following this case? Were you there for the testimony?

Quote:

But on the stand, Mary Winkler described a hellish 10-year marriage during which, she said, her husband struck her, screamed at her, criticized her and blamed her when things went wrong. She said he made her watch pornography and wear "slutty" costumes for sex, and that he forced her to submit to sex acts that made her uncomfortable.
You don;t know the enitire case, you just here murder and assume the sentence was light. Do some research before jumping the fucking gun :2 cents:

Secksy 08-14-2007 03:01 PM

And by the way, I am not defending the woman. It just amazes me how people around here read a headline, click and read the first paragraph and post as fact. Sensationalism at it's utmost :thumbsup

tranza 08-14-2007 03:03 PM

That's no good....

What amazes me is that she's lying about being abused now to save her ass and that she played the stereotype of an abused wife to get 7 months in a mental health facility instead of going to jail like everyone who commits a murder.

Let's see I'm less than 80 miles from where it happened. I think I'm more aware of the case than you. She committed MURDER. I don't give a rats ass what a bunch of inbred uneducated rednecks were duped into believing.

How do you know she is lying? Were you there?

Well... yeah, but she coulda just left him :)

Actually I know a woman, a dear kind hearted lovely woman ... she stabbed ... by accident... her boyfriend. He died ... but before he died, he admitted to the ambulance crew that it was an accident, and that he'd slipped into the knife in her hands ... totally admitted. The court threw it out and wouldn't allow it to be used as evidence ...

How fucked up eh?

She's in prison serving 9 years for murder.

Looks like you are about 80 miles from Home Sweet Home :2 cents: :thumbsup

Yeah.. have you ever considered that she's trashing this guy's name after she killed him because he can't defend himself?

real classy.

How do you know she's not? It's not hard for her to play this card. I'm sure the first thing her lawyer said when found out she just killed him was to play the battered house wife and plead temp insanity. It's the oldest trick in the book, and it worked. She got away with it, but she'll be paying out the ass for the rest of her life and, unless Tenessee is really that fucked up, she'll never see her kids again without a chaparone.

Fine. I agree. Yay. But on the same token, how do you know SHE IS NOT?

You don't, just like I don't. Opinions are like assholes... you know how it goes. The fact is, none of us were there. Only her and the dead preacher know what happened. End of story.

Intricate 08-14-2007 03:18 PM

Manslaughter is not murder.

pornguy 08-14-2007 03:24 PM

I have a girl friend who was beat on a regular basis by her B/F in Californina. She was in the hospital 6 times with broken bones by him. She told him one day, that is he ever touched her again, she would break his arms and legs. He came back to her house one day and punched her in the face and broke her nose. She picked up a bat, and broke both his arms, both legs, and a few ribs. She got 3 years because it was " Premeditated " Even with her covered in her own blood, they said that she was NOT defending herself.

She just did not know how to work the system like this woman did.

I bet she doesn't regret taking his legs and arms away for a while tho ...

fucking idiot ... him, not her. I wish men that beat girls were immediately by some force unknown, smashed in the fucking balls. Every time.

D 08-14-2007 03:32 PM

Yeah, I read about this in the Times today.

With murder on the table, she was acquitted of the charge and convicted by a jury of her peers of voluntary manslaughter, sentenced by a Circuit Court Judge, and served the requirements of her sentence.

I'm fine with that.

Sometimes, the killing of another human is justified.

The people involved with this case seemed to think that it was, and who am I to say otherwise?

Oh my God! She watched pornography and had kinky sex? The horrors!!!!! He also blamed her for things that went wrong and yelled at her.

Pretty much sounds like most marriages in this country. If the bitch didn't like it, she had all the power in the world to leave. She got away with murder. :2 cents:

Ok even if she was beaten. She should at least stay on lock down for life, she could kill again and excuse it with her mental problems.

That looks like the dream team right there.

GreyWolf 08-14-2007 04:12 PM

Not exactly unusual to walk after being convicted of murder and other offenses....

Seven of the eight murderers in the case below are free:

Quote:

Mr Awad, a police officer, was taken from his home, put in a hole and shot in the head 10 times.

A gun and a shovel were then placed by his body to make it look as if he were an insurgent planting a roadside bomb.

The unit was reportedly searching for an insurgent and took Mr Awad when they failed to find their target.
Fuller story here...
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/6943511.stm

It's called war crime, but handled differently by a corrupt justice system.

Well Einstien where exctly are you? You claim I lack knowledge of the case then when I present FACT you say I'm too close to know the truth. WTF makes YOU right? How do YOU know what the truth is? I suggest you STFU unless YOU can present some inside knowledge.

I'm fine with that.

Maybe she'll kill someone you know. If that happened I really wouldn't feel sorry for you.

Because maybe you have a brian and aren't. Remember this state allows cousins to marry.

Good job, shooting a Christian preacher, poor woman deserves a reward.

Killing is wrong whatever the circumstance. When will humans start to understand that?

I disagree.

Killing - as a last option - in the name of protecting life (obviously), liberty (when diplomacy has failed), or property (in dire circumstances) is acceptable and excusable, imho.
