Dealing with people who cut corners...

One thing i learned from my dad is if you cut corners your service/product will always come out to shit. I love dealing with people who like to over see every little detail and even suprise me with stuff I did not expect them to think about unlike lazy bums who just want ur money.

If i get a slight hint of a person cutting corners... I try to avoid doing business with them.

What about you guys?

My PC is 2 feet from my bed and there's a mini fridge between them. No comment.

I agree... do it right the first time. It promotes repeat business and you have less stress about people getting pissed when shit doesn't work...

This is coming from a Programmer...

same here, although its rare in this day and age that people go the extra mile for you, its nice when they do though.

Mostly seems to be small companies who go the extra mile for you and surprise you as they want you as a customer for life, where big corporations just want your money and usually offer you a shit service/product with the only surprise of how much money they are charging you.

After you bite yourself in the ass a couple times from cutting corners you make sure you don't do it anymore.

i actually learned this in business class but did not pay attention to it till now... "the solutions you put in place today are the problems of tommorow" it was a big article from one of the popular business journal. I am really starting to be more carfull about patching shit up quickly and instead I try to find solutions that will work in the future.

That explaines everything about the biz.

It's based on cutting corners.

Yeah, me too. And don't give them a 2nd chance either, it's simply a waste of time.

I depends on the corners you cut. Sometimes short cuts work, sometimes they don't.
