Fucking Google cancelled my ad cause we sell teen porn...

after 2 years i decided to raise my daily limit cause their system suggested it and how do they thank me: the cancelled my ad because of "teen porn concept"

fuck you, i'm taking my money somewhere else :321GFY

Extreme John 08-13-2007 11:01 AM

had an issue like that with them for a pantyhose site, such a fucking hassle.

Sands 08-13-2007 11:05 AM

There have been a lot of complaints about Google cracking down on supposed "teen porn concepts". It looks like they're taking any opportunity to cancel campaigns that were grandfathered into this new period of prudishness. Sorry to hear about that, and I hope you find a more profitable avenue of advertising.

Jace 08-13-2007 11:05 AM

and I am sure they will be hurting

honestly, i can't believe they let you go this long, they are nazis with the teen shit

jonesonyou 08-13-2007 11:06 AM

teen is hott. it will survive without google ads.

Nikki_Licks 08-13-2007 11:08 AM

It's been like that for a while. We had to change the word "Teen" to coed on our site, then they approved the campaign.....:thumbsup

GatorB 08-13-2007 11:09 AM

Yet Girls Gone Wild is allowed to advertise with adwords.

:1orglaugh yeah, they will go broke now

honestly, i always wondered myself that they never complained. probably cause i never changed anything for a long time that made a review of the ad necessary. it was obviously a mistake to try sending them more money :disgust

Girls Gone Wild was banned for the same reasons when I worked for them earlier tihs year. I worked with google to get us unbanned. Stay away from using the words girls, teens, and the like. Even if you precede it with the word College as in College girls and College teens, they will still ban you. Girls Gone Wild was not even allowed to use their trademark "Girls Gone Wild" because it contained the word "girls". It sucks since I used to see other people on adwords get away with it but theres nothing you can do to get around it. If you can get a hold of an adwords rep and work with them, it may be helpful to you.

Best of luck to you.

HAPPYPEEKERS 08-13-2007 11:55 AM

Yep.. if you have an old site still running that has anything to do with teen..... dont fuck with it.. or they will cancel you

:-(

You can work around it if you try hard enough

Sorry but Girls Gone Wild does indeed have adwords ads. Any other site with the word GIRLS in the url would NOT be allowed. hypocrisy at it's finest

http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...irls+gone+wild

I am betting that is an old ad that no one has touched in quite a while. :upsidedow

They do still have adwords for girls and teens and so on.. but they are all older ads that have just not been caught as of yet.. Once they try to change anything to do with the ad.. they will be caught...

LadyMischief 08-13-2007 12:01 PM

Wildline can hook you up ;)

The link you sent does not have one official Girls gone Wild ad. Those are all affiliates and I cannot speak for them. As you can see, they are not even allowed to use the trademark "Girls Gone Wild", they have to use "Girls Going Wild" since we put through the paperwork to enforce the trademark earlier this year.

Google did at the end allow Girls Gone Wild use of the world Girls but only specifically because it was a trademarked term. Why they are not running on adwords now, I would not know.

Tom_PM 08-13-2007 12:03 PM

They should police the images better than the adwords. I was going to find a funny pic of chuck e cheese to goof someone, and clicked a google images thumb to see if the big pic was good, and it redirected me to some nasty porn :(

jigg 08-13-2007 12:09 PM

wait a while and change it again
you might get a different reviewer

I got declined today for popups even though it's a no-popup URL how they decided it I have no idea

MaDalton 08-13-2007 12:10 PM

i won't go arguing with them cause i can't and won't stop using the word "teen" when selling content of 18 or 19 year old girls. so i will have to look into other advertising opportunities.

The chance to get somebody over there to argue with depends on the amount of the fees you will spend for your campaign. Even with higher amounts it´s a pain in the ass. Google has become too large.
