Hmmm this is very interesting.

Not interesting.
Not drama.

Simple case of lack of communication or follow through. Now things are backing up. I have a number of sites that need to be programmed, or redesigned in the fourth quarter. I am interviewing staff to bring on for these sites, and now have no site(s). He knows the scoop on what's going on, time tables, etc.

I'm not bashing him. I'm not saying he does, or does not do good work. I am simply saying that a delivery date was missed. Also that there has been no communication all weekend when it was to be done, or at least be close. Now I am seeking to move this work to a new designer and want the 50% down refunded.

I have not received a demo, or links to anything being done on this, and while I am not saying it couldn't be done. I am simply running out of time. I need these sites done in the time windows.

This could simply be a case where he took on more than he could chew, or a simple lack of communication or follow through. Which is why I am giving the chance for him to deliver a working demo (not fully functional) site showing what's been done up to this point by end of business. Or refund the money back to my business account.

It was a nice weekend. He's probably tooling around in his Ferrari. :1orglaugh

I do not think he has one, but I can hear you on a nice weekend. Regardless. This site was supposed to be done so the next could be started mid month.

Since I never received demos, previews, on the progress to this site. I already moved the next site to someone else. I prefer when I work with a designer to at least get some previews, or benchmarks along the way to make sure we are on the same page. This means at the end, we have something we are both happy with.

While receiving the assurances it was being worked on, and would be delivered (last weekend or sooner). I never saw any previews, or peeks in the past 2-3 weeks.

At this point it's now become business impacting. So while I do not fault him for trying to do it, and possibly taking on more than he could chew. I do need my work done on the emphasized time lines.

While I thought maybe there was some confusion at first. On delivery weekend when I did not get any e-mails, or IM's... or even the "designer classics" as to it not being done. Then I became concerned.

Again,.. not to bash him, his work, his situation. I simply want a demo/link of work done to this point (if close to completion) by end of business today, or I want the down payment refunded via paypal back to business account, or check overnighted so I can move this project, and get it done.
