I wouldn't go that far, but the war was the right thing to do. Saddam gave us no choice.

Here's some thinking long term for you.... The war in Iraq is approaching the $1 Trillion cost mark. It is estimated that the whole thing will cost over $2 Trillion total. That kind of cost alone was worth leaving Saddam in power.

The war is about securing US energy security... Saddam never had anything to do with it except as a target of US propoganda. I don't understand how so many Americans have been duped into thinking that Saddam ever posed a threat to the US, or even had anything to do with terrorism aimed at the US.

That's the cost of one (1) 9-11 type terrorist attack.

What would the cost have been to our economy if Saddam had choked off oil?

What would the cost be to us long term if the US allowed a foreign country to attempt an assasination of a US President? (as Saddam did).

What would the cost be if Iraq fell to Iran?

What is the cost of a murderous tyrant who threatens not only his neighbors and the region, but also his own people?

I think the saddest thing to note is that Iraqi internal fighting is where most the death comes from. An American dieing in Iraq is rare at best.

We see on the news our guys dieing almost at least 1 a day thats true...
However accross Iraq on average there are more than 100 Violent death's unrelated to American Military Action.

However the Average American assault on insergents averages over 27 Confirmed Kills as a result of an American Assault on Iraqi Insurgent compounds.

Also a new world record has been set by an American Sniper with a confirmed kill over 3/4 a mile away.
