Oh To Be A Kid Ag.... FUCK THAT, I have more fun than the kids !!!!!

Our version of like the "State Fair" concept.

Once a year. Same time, same place.

With the walking/talking ATM I become for the kids and us for this annual pilgramage, dispensing cash left, right and center for a multitudinous variety of rides, sideshows, sample bags and food and drink, 9 hours after arriving at the gates, we have arrived home.

Starting with the obligatory "Dagwood Dog" (a hot dog weiner on a stick, dipped in pancake like batter, deep fried to within an inch of it's life and then ceremoniously dunked into a large tub of ketchup) - and do NOT knock this gastronomic delight unless you have tried it - and finishing with the almost anti-climatic fireworks display, and then to the marching home, dragging 3 tired kids, resplendent with 64 assorted "Show Bags" (candy and crap of unmentionable variety and proportions), a great day had by one and all.

The rides, the shooting shit, the popping ping pong balls in the mouth of a laughing clown, the farm animals, the circus, the freestyle motocross, the bullriding, the dog trials, the animal petting nursery, the noise, the crowds, the sights, the sun - wouldn't miss it for quids.

And "quids" (Aussie slang for dollars) it most certainly was .. several hundred of them beginning with the $60 entry tag for the family of 5, through to the $4 each for said Dagwood Dogs and $17.50 for the "Dora the Explorer" Show Bag amongst many of it's cousins, not the cheapest form of fun for the entire family for sure.

But watching the kids try and keep up with Mell and I as we darted around and tried everything and laughed and carried on like schoolkids....

Fucking Priceless.

Life does not suck.

At all.

Yeah but did you see the fairies?!?!?!?
I'll be there a few days this week photographing some of the entertainment that friends of mine are providing.

We've got a great view of the (very average) fireworks right up our street so by last night we were very much over the echo!!!

Yay ekka time!!!

We saw the fairies and the circus and the dog trials and the bullriding and the cattle sales and the Alpaca shearing, and like I said above, the anti-climatic fireworks ....

Shorter list is what we did not see.

:thumbsup
