Just a survey to see how many of you fuckers have real goddamn jobs.
Like Im sure all of us would like to be doing well enough to sit around all day a play with our comps but some of us have to work out here right guys?
Im talking about a 9 to 5 or a graveyard shift or both just to stay afloat.
If your like me seeming it impossible to make ends meet and thought there was something here in this industry for you as far as money is concerned then I would like to here from you.

Last time I looked this is a real god damn job.

I'm a Millwright by trade and have been for over 20 years..I build pumps for the mining industry

All I do is work adult sites, and I work much longer than a measely 8 hours a day...

But, I also play hard too.

My porn career is a real job damn it. Been doing it for well over a decade, maybe two.

Problem is though that my fake cover story job that I invented for my fiances family (now my wife) has taken off. It required that I lease an office, start getting yellow pages ads, sponsoring a kids motorcycle racing, hiring a full time secertary and so forth. I would of never thought that my damn fake cover story would turn into an expense that is also generating an income, that also is growing a great deal each year.

Oh and I am also a full time landlord.

I worked full time in adult from 2001-2005 then I got my dayjob and have done my dayjob + porn since.

The dayjob wasn't because I wasn't making any money. It had to do with a couple different factors.

Now, I'm trying to move back to adult full time, but it's hard having to goto the day job too. Soon though...

My wife knows what I do. Its for her family. Her mother knows, however the rest do not and she would rather keep it that way until her grandparents pass away, then she does not care who knows. My wife has helped me set up sites, helped me shoot content, you name it.

I'm also a Metal trades Journeyman.worked in the petroleum industry for half my working life..If only the net was around when I was a kid and not the only way to survive was work with your hands or steal..been a rough ride and it builds character..most people on here couldn't do the work.
Imagine being in the bowels of a ship where a pool of bunker oil..3 feet deep working on a 10" pump..the bearings were 2' in diameter and seals were 200 pounds and the rotor and shaft was 600...hauling that shit down in the hole was hard enough.

Too many scary stories..almost died 3 times during the years

I run a few tgp/mgp's and post on GFY after the daily grind and been around for awhile.I've always considered this a part time gig and a way to kill time.
And it pays for my vices :glugglug

I can relate ;) Most of my work was on huge stamping presses big enough to smack out a whole side of a van. It is a hard living but a satisfying one. It's a real sense of accomplishment to breath life back into a broken piece of equipment. Nothing like it for sure. Later on in my career I switched over to machine tool electrical repair rebuilding the control logic circuits , it was a hell of a lot easier on my back. Working in those cold cast steel/iron presses sucked the heat right out of you and made you feel like an old man before your time. I kinda miss it if you can believe it :)
I actually got started in the skilled trades as a sheet metal model maker building automotive prototypes.
Seems like we chewed some of the same steel :)

Because I'm not working for anyone else. For me, a "real job" means going and schlepping it for a paycheck. I go to give my employees some time off.

Your right in a sense if you think of it your way,but really a (real job) means
"The art of making money from something you have worked at to produce this"!
No matter what anyone does to do this its a (real job)as long as it isnt handed to them....

I work a real job and do this.

The month of July 07 was the first time I made more money in one month in porn than I did at my 9 to 5.

So its getting better.

Even with porn I work hard to produce something. For me and mine. To benefit us and no one else. So by your definition even working hard in this biz for yourself constitutes a real job.

Getting up and going to work 9 to 5 for someone else is a "real job". That's what most people think when you use that term.
