dont know if any discount airlines go there, last time i looked it was well over 1000+

It probably won't be cheap, but a couple of tips:

Check the "discount" airlines that fly from your area to anywhere in Asia or the US. It may make for a more complicated trip, but if you are willing to trade time for money, you may be able to make the trip cheaper by going discount to (say) japan and then japan to canada.

You can get NWA (NorthWest airlines) from all over asian to Canada via the US.

you can get aircanada from many places in asia right to canada.

You can also check charter companies doing cheap runs to places like Las Vegas or such as see if you can get a flight from there.

Good luck.

It's hard to get any kind of discount airfare to Canada from anyplace anymore including the U.S.. Back in the 90's before Air Canada and Canadian Air merged there was more competition and also some discount airlines like Canada 3000 that had cheap flights to and from South Florida. Now there is no competition and the fares are jacked way up even on popular flight legs between the U.S. and Canada that should have competition.

I have no idea, but with that said hopefully you find a good airline.

I hope to see you in Montreal.
