Wordpress programmers - is this possible?
Is it possible to modify wordpress, so you can decide if a post should be displayed on the frontpage, or only in the specific category?
Because some of the posts I make on the blog, I only want to show up in the category. Right now I edit the timestamp instead, but I would prefer the other way. |

Without looking at Wordpress...
Couldn't you just create a separate "frontpage" cat, and only shows posts in that on the front page? |

I want a little checkbox where i write the blogpost, where I can "uncheck" it if I dont want it to be displayed on the front-page |

I don't know if there's a plugin that does this yet, but this guy did something similar when he modified Wordpress to run a magazine site. The article is a bit long, but he has the theme with the base coding available here. I played around with it for a little bit a few months back, but never really had a need for it personally. Not sure if this is exactly what you are looking for, but it might give you a base to adapt it to your specific needs. :)
