What do you use for Traffic Stats?
We manage a portfolio of a couple of thousand adult domains and have a hell of a time managing our traffic statistics across all of the domains.
We currently host most of our domains on 1 server so that we can use awStats as our stats package. We then use an aggregating script to pull in each domain's stats into a single page showing each month's traffic per domain for ease of use. Pretty crude really, but at least we can see it all on one page and sort by each month's traffic to see some trends. Basically we haven't been able to find any good commercial stats programs that are designed to manage more than 1 domain at a time. Why is that?! We know we can build our own custom system with mysql etc, but would rather use something off the shelf. We're especially concerned about a reliable fault tolerant system - we don't want our counters stopping our sites from loading if the db server is too busy. So what do people use? Any help greatly appreciated! |
We have an internal tracker that works when it wants to...
