Would you rather get a no shave $25 per join or a sliced and diced $35+
The average revenue per join has decreased over the past several years...
Pop up income has decreased as well... Processors scrub harder than ever... But the amount of money paid per join has stayed the same. Somebody is getting the short end of the stick. Hmm... |
Perhaps it's time to look around?

Offhand too, think maybe we can chat up sometimes on about you sending some of your succulent traffic my prog's way? |

You have a nice looking Lesbo site so I'm sure we can talk in the coming weeks. |
i'm tossing around offering a 25 pps on the new shanes world online. i think people need to stay realistic now a days with some of the factors that you listed being the culprits.
|
I'd take whichever paid the most for my traffic at the end of the pay period... An honest $25 is no better than a shaved $35 if the $25 offer converts like shit...
|
another one is consumers are much much smarter and know how to cancel right away, which def limits those rebills that used to be soooooo much higher. if you can't keep those customers those 60 dollar payouts will put you out quick.
some people are ok with fucking the surfer to get back the money the program just paid out to the affiliate for that customer, but if you're in it for the long run you'd better know up from down. those days of 3 or more prechecks and banging peoples cards to death are over. consumers know how to fuck you back now a days. |
I'd prefer whichever one put more in my pocket at the end of the day.

If you chose the first option of $25... see sig... :)
|
That's kinda insulting.
We're at $30-$35 PPS... and wouldn't dream of shaving. We just happen to have confidence in our ability to retain. If people want the quick money, they're welcome to it, ya know. :2 cents: |
its all about how much $ i get for X amount of traffic. i dont care about the # of joins or the $ per join, i just want the most $ overall.

So, yeah, I think you may be exempt from the blanket statement. But unfortunately, there's waaay more programs that are paying the higher payouts and shaving than there are programs that aren't. |

Of course, and I really want to nip this in the bud before 7 more people give this standard answer. High payouts from programs that shave are only artificially high because that's what attracts webmasters who don't know any better. At the end of the day, those $40 pps sites are still only paying out $15-$25 a join if you factor in the joins or clicks that magically dissappear. A bad converting program doesn't pay. That's a given. But all things being equal wouldn't you rather promote a company that you know is going to give you $25 or $30 bucks a signup rain or shine instead of one that says they are giving you $35-$60 but they are shaving clicks in a way that really gives you $15 one month and $25 the next? |

Still, why the hell would people do business with people when they feel they're being stolen from? That's never made sense to me. Quote:
But that's probably the stupidest thing I've heard all day. :2 cents: |

As you get older you get a better idea of how to spot a chick that knows how to fuck. It's a natural ability that just develops with time. Sometimes you are surprised but by and large you just know.
Same goes for spotting programs that are shaving... or even might shave... vs ones that don't. The longer you stay in the game the more you know. There are a couple of large programs that don't but some should be fucking ashamed. |
Fuck shaving... I want my god damn money!

HOW ABOUT A NO-SHAVED $42 PER JOIN!!
http://img482.imageshack.us/img482/4...4x10002iv2.gif ....sorry i had to:tongue: |
What a great marketing ploy that would be - lower your payouts to $25 and say "hey we don't shave" when you weren't even shaving at $35. So the affilaite just gets screwed out of $10 a join and that is pure cheddar to the affiliate program - but you sold it as 'honesty'.
hahahahahahaa |
Dollarmansteve, i have an open invitation to PPS programs regarding shaving. You may want to take the challenge for the aff.program you work?
Legally authorise me to use some of our employees and companies to do test signups on various accounts over a timeframe of 3 to 4 months, record results and make them publicly accesible afterwards. I'll refund any money involved on this. for the record I've posted this challenge here a couple of times, no PPS program has accepted it so far. |
We can agree on the terms, procedure and auditing part. My email is on my signature.

If anyone wanted to 'prove shaving' they could go ahead and do it without the involvement of the affilaite program. |
i think, that sponsors shave and with $25 for sale too
|
a lower payout doesn't automatically mean "honesty"

b) We made more money from exit traffic in the past 12 months than ever. c) I would agree with this statement d) I would say that many programs are charging monthly rates that are way too low, 24.95 - 29.95, when $39.95 has been a historically profitable price point while still providing value to the surfer and having little affect on conversions when used in an aggressive low dollar trial membership model. If any PPS program would have to resort to shaving it is only because they are unable to properly monetize their traffic. Shaving is the stupid person's solution to mismanagement of traffic and signups. Any company with any clue what they're doing can profitably pay $35 per join. |
We pay $35 tiered to $50. We can do this without shaving because we know average members will spend 10x more than what we payout. These days it's all about conversion. If you shave you are lowering your conversion and you will lose your webmasters to the next guy.
