Help Pick A Layout! [POLL]
 

Which do you prefer?
And also can you throw in some suggestions.
What you like what you didnt like what elements from the layouts outs you would combine.

The logo on the 3rd one sucks so please dont say anything about that haha, i'm working on getting a donkey for the logo as that is the same quality as the 2nd layout's logo

#1 is MUCH easier to look at. The others have WAY too much going on in them

i like layout 2 but the donkey guy with the weed tooth... put that in place of the teeth on layout 2...

Those are all fairly shitty layouts, have you even read a book about web designing or do you just guess at it?

#3 - because I like the three column layout - the clean edges of the columns are much better than the grunge edges in sample #2 - i prefer the logo though with just the donkey's teeth. don't like the donkey in #3 logo.

Layout 2 rocks, but the only thing i dont like is the NAV. i would turn down the shine, lose the cloud, and make the text bigger. just my 2cents :)

hmm i'll consider but yes bigger text is a bonus.

I like layout number 2.

Number two does it for me

I prefer number 3. Number 2 has unnecessary design elements.

keep em coming and try to include reasoning if you can

If you want to make the most money and send your buddies the most traffic ......#3

If I was you I'd combine #1 and #3. Clean...2 column layout.

This is the way i figure it, tell me if im wrong.
1 is bleh
2 is cool and fresh
3 is clean and would appeal to the most people

I think im going to go with 3 despite the majority vote, i need to think past design how it looks cool i need to think which is makes more sense in the long run.

I voted for #1. They all look good but 1 grabbed my attention.

#2 got my vote. Good looking, good balance between elements and handy.

I say #3 by a long shot...

Reasons...

1) The search is much more prominent
2) The header colors are much more appealing, easy to read, and draw your eye to their content better
3) The login is more prominent, which makes me want to either login or register if i don't have an account
4) The banner at the top has a space just for it, without anything taking away ... meaning you will probably see better results, on a CPC basis
5) The flow between updates and top 10 are much better differentiated, with the other layouts, they merge too much together....
6) The spotlight is a very nice feature

the list goes on...


Seriously #3 is really nice, go with it and don't look back..

i vote 3 - i like the layout. Its easy to find stuff - as its on the same page. Even though # 1 is less cluttered.. i still think surfers like to have visual acceess to specific sections or content and a link to those sections just doesn't do it.

Atm I prefer #2 but with a better logo I'd def pick #3. The clean edges make it easier on the eyes. Also for #3 I think a darker left or middle column would look better.

Like i said there will be a new logo on #3 and i appreciate your input
