Some of my Vet buddies sent me this
http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=s110-1877 this is a bill that will legally allow vets and those currently in the armed service to salute the flag while not in uniform, not just place your hand over your heart. I think this is something that should have always been this way!
|
Agreed. It's strange that a bill had to be created to make this happen...
|
I have mixed emotions about this.
While I believe in respect for the flag, I've also thought that special attention should be given to those out of uniform. Out of uniform you do not salute and that's that. Has this fully passed? |
It's passed in the senate, waiting on the house, being a vet I believe that saluting is the proper thing to do. Being a Vet gives you that option!
