Does anyone else get disenchanted with the amount of scams/liars/crooks out there?
 

This post isn't directed at anyone or in regards to any particular drama. Is it fucking depressing to anyone else how many low life scum operate openly in the business? Guys looking to sell their soul for a buck and ripoff people every chance they get. It just amazes me how many people could give two shits about someone and blatantly steal from them.

I've made a bunch of small deals in the past couple months and almost half of them were people who either fucked me over or tried to fuck me over. You honestly can't trust anyone anymore in this business it seems.

Unfortunately, this is everywhere. Both in this industry and the "real world". I have found over the years it is just part of growing up. In the end people get what they deserve.

I've been trying incredibly hard for over a month to keep quiet on another issue. I thought it had gone away, but now I see it on the board, day after day. I'll probably say something eventually, but it's almost not worth it.

And I agree... it's just as bad in real life. I have a friend who just got totally screwed by a contractor for tens of thousands and will probably never see a dime of it. And I'm about to get all kinds of tacky with the guy who installed some new garage doors and openers for me. Total lying prick.

It's just everyday there is something new it seems like. Shit, I see a thread that Porn Kings is selling their domains and couldn't find 2 minutes to send an e-mail out to affiliates. I can't buy a stinking link these days without getting ripped off half the time. Just looking at the first page of GFY buy and sell you can spot half a dozen scams taking place.

This is why i keep a real close network and any money that exchanges hands stays in that network:2 cents:

I've moved past "disenchanted" to "discouraged".

It makes the good ones shine though. As long as you take mental notes I guess.. "good" threads where someone actually gets praise is rare, but pop up once in a while.

Deal with people you know, and use a escrow service in any deal above $1000

My parents just got taken by some low life contractor as well. That business has some major scammers in it. You totally have to do a full background check before you even have them hit one nail.:disgust

The only real problem is that nobody cares, and often take side with the scammers (this is what upsets me the most).

no just treat everyone in the adult industry like the scamming lying crooked scumbags they are and you will also be suprised when someone turns out to be one of the good ones

But board praise is tough to decipher as well. I mean some of the guys who are responsible for our industry's enormous processing fees are some of the most "respected" people on the board.
