How do I get a capture from a *.wmv video. A simple screenshot + paste captures everything but the video itself?

Any piece of software you can recommend?

I have Paint Shop Pro 6 and Adobe Photoshop 6...and supposedly there's something in Windows Media Encoder - can't get it to work with any of the aforementioned.

Print screen and past into photoshop often dont work. Try virtualdub. I think it can capture a frame and save it as an image like Adobe premier does
