MadisonAvenue.com? Opinions?

I've noticed some high traffic sites that are using madisonavenue.com to serve their ad banners and wondered if anyone has any first-hand experience with them?

I've used phpadsnew in the past and more recently openads but have found that especially on high traffic sites it can cause a little lag etc.

Does madisonavenue skim any traffic off the top? As from what i can tell it seems to be a free service.

If anyone's using or used it in the past i'd love to hear your thoughts on it especially when compared with other ad rotation scripts/hosting options.

Thanks guys!

Oh shit, I didn't even notice this was yours. I see you used the best part of the Dollars.com technology for it. Good stuff Rick. :thumbsup

Folks, sorry took me a bit to reply. I was traveling back to Manila from the Florida show.

Lots of questions so I'll try to cover them as briefly as possible. As someone pointed out, yes we took the best elements of our Dollars.com project and applied them to MadisonAvenue.com. That said, we also took the worst parts of that project and figured out how to not repeat our mistakes. MadAv is a completely open system that will work with ANY affiliate program and/or any type of advertiser.

MadAv at it's heart is an extremely robust and powerful ad rotation and revenue maximization tool. It's web-based so there's no server-side software to install. We've built the system to handle the needs of anyone who has a site and is trying to make money off ads on that site. Publishers can use the system to make MORE money off ads they're running on an affiliate basis using our RPM Revenue Maximization system. Publishers can also use the system to sell ads themselves on a retail basis (We're basically giving away all the functionality we've been using to run our www.CJTraffic.com business). Finally, IF PUBLISHERS WANT TO, they can let us sell their ad inventory for them. None of this is all or nothing. Publishers set %'s for each of these to indicate how much they want to allocate to each. So if you're using the system to run your ad inventory you could, for example, decide to allocate 25% of your inventory to Affiliate Ads, 75% to Retail Ads ( that you sold), and only allocate a maximum of 10% of your overall inventory to be taken up when MadisonAvenue.com sells a Network Campaign for you.

The obvious question we always get is "how does MadisonAvenue.com make money?". When we sell ad campaigns we take 20% commission. That's 5% less than Adbrite and they don't give you any ad rotation solution. Next up people ask how we make money if they choose not to let us sell any of their inventory. We still want those people because the more publishers using the system and giving us feedback on how to improve it, the better the system gets which in turns brings in more publishers which gives us more opportunty to make money selling their ad inventory.

Additionally, unlike our competitors we pay Publishers QUICKLY! On the 7th of every month we send our payment for all earnings the month prior. No waiting 60 to 90 days! We pay publishers via Check, Wire, ePassporte, and/or Paypal.

Bottom line, we as www.CJTraffic.com started using this system six months ago. We increased our Affiliate Revenue by 35%. We increased our Retail Revenue by 45% (because of the handy bidding functionality we built in). We're GIVING THIS FUNCTIONALITY away to anyone and everyone.

I'll be happy to give anyone a run-through off all the bells and whistles. You'll all also being hearing a lot more about the system as I ramp up the marketing campaign now that I'm back from the show.

Additionally if anyone has further questions, please post here so I can answer them for all to see.
