Feed Pushers Has Launched -- What's Next?

Feed Pushers Launches

As you've probably seen from Lensman's sticky post, the Feed Pushers system is now live. We have 3 Reality Cash feeds going right now, and will be adding 3 per week until all of them are live. The entire Reality Cash network will update at a rate of 5 posts per week, spread out across all of the feeds.

The web site for Feed Pushers has undergone a redesign. The new design can be seen here:

http://www.feedpushers.com

What's Next For Feed Pushers?

Reality Cash is the Feed Pushers "launch sponsor," and has an exclusive in our system for a period of time. Rest assured that we've had a huge response to the technology, and many sponsors are already signed up and testing their feeds as well. We'll make additional announcements as appropriate.

We've had some complains about technologies that seem similar to Feed Pushers, but aren't, and the confusion this creates. I'll only comment on the topic once: the level of RSS feeds you want to offer is between you and your affiliates. Feed Pushers is an "end to end" service that supplies RSS feeds to your affiliate base in a professional and consistent manner. We are based in the U.S., and are serious about supporting our customers in any way we can. Our technologies integrate in a synergistic manner, and we plan to enhance Autoblogger Pro to work even better with Feed Pushers. We supply the RSS technology, we write the feeds, we write the rules, and we're native English speakers doing it.

What Else?

We have some VERY exciting technologies headed out of beta this year. Because some our technologies have been stolen so blatantly recently, unfortunately, we can no longer talk about them until launch. Rest assured that they will do what all of our products have done: help you to get to market more quickly and easily.

Thank you for your support! This is my 5,000th post, too. Been holding it.

nice stuff, congrats

Brujah 08-07-2007 06:45 PM

Sounds great, so do affiliates just need to wait for the sponsors to implement it then?

pr0 08-07-2007 06:49 PM

good job bro!

Thanks, it's been a long road. The very first version of this was with the Freshmeat "feeds" in 2000, refined a bit more in 2004, and now here we are in 2007 .. sheesh!

Yes, but Autoblogger Pro users are going to get some exclusive feeds just for them shortly.

Yeah, my ICQ has been lighting up since 2006, when we announced we'd take sponsors into the beta. It's so night and day for "standard" feeds.

ok, I'l bite
what is feedpusher, how does it help me (from affiliate point of view) and how does it basically work? I mean how will every affiliate end up with different text and thumbs

also all the links on the left of the site don't open in my browser, 'demo', 'top active feeds', they work when I paste them in my rss reader though

You should check out Lensman's "sticky" post about the Reality Cash launch. That, combined with the Feed Pushers page, paints a fairly compelling picture. However, in a nutshell, imagine every affiliate getting their "own" version of a sponsor's feed -- their own text, their own pictures. Our technology does that.

You have an old browser, I'm assuming. What is it?

Thanks, Alli. Been a while since we did the Autoblogger deal with TopBucks. Hit me up on ICQ if you'd like to explore adding Feed Pushers to the list of technologies we've worked together on. :)

Pornwolf 08-07-2007 10:47 PM

Awesome. From the amount of ICQ's I've gotten, it looks like you'll have a bunch to choose from. :winkwink:

Yeah, odd. Some (all?) IE6 versions also don't support RSS, as far as I know or have heard. Many modern browsers released in the last few years do, though. The good news is it's completely irrelevant, as the RSS is being pulled, not viewed in the browser .. it only matters for "demo" purposes. :winkwink:

nice.. very nice

New features were requested in another thread, and approved by Lensman:

Excellent idea.

This feature is now implemented. Feeds now have the ability to show as many pictures as you'd like, or none at all. There are three text links in each feed now, as well. One major text link (the full line) at the bottom, or "call to action" spot, and two in the text itself. The text for these links, as you'd expect (:winkwink:) will rotate itself.

Here's an example, using Brea Bennett

Normal feed, with text links: http://rss.breabennett.com

Feed with no images, with text links: http://rss.breabennett.com/feed.php?...6&pic_limit=-1

Feed with 10 pictures: http://rss.breabennett.com/feed.php?...6&pic_limit=10

Sounds like everyone is enjoying the feeds, so we'll be plugging away on some new features. We've already coded (and are testing) the ability to display the thumbs on the top, bottom, or both.

Here's an example, using Brea Bennett Again

Normal feed, 4 images on the bottom: http://rss.breabennett.com

Feed with 3 images, on top: http://rss.breabennett.com/feed.php?...3&pic_format=1

Feed with 5 images, top and bottom: http://rss.breabennett.com/feed.php?...5&pic_format=2

STATS FOR REALITY CASH FEEDS WITH FEED PUSHERS

This is from launch until August 9th at 2PM EST.

Brea Bennett's RSS feeds have been pulled 2,582 times.
Hardcore Partying's RSS feeds have been pulled 2,236 times.
Right Off The Boat's RSS feeds have been pulled 1,369 times.

The main page of Feed Pushers has been viewed 5,283 times.

Thanks, everyone, for making the launch such a success!

New Feature -- Picture Alignment

Now, in addition to being able to set the number of pictures you pull or even remove pictures completely, you can choose the alignment of the pictures -- left-aligned (default), or centered.

Here's an example, using Brea Bennett, with pictures aligned to the center

http://rss.breabennett.com/feed.php?...=6&pic_align=1

Enjoy!
