Stolen pics - how do you handle this
 

Today someone messaged me how they saw my pics on the site ratemybody.com I did not put the pics up on the site myself.

they were stolen , I contacted the site owner by email, and they happen to post thier msn the conversation wtih them of the owner of the site just makes me wonder if the owner of the site posted my pics on the site.

they claim the pics will be down in 24 hours because they do not have the time to take down the pics manually. so I am wondering now if they are too lazy to do take down the pics now because they rather wait for the system to do what do If they don't follow threw.

You may want to start watermarking your pics

Send the site's owners a gift basket with a turd in it.

These pics are pics from when I do webcam shows on imlive, and streamate so technically the image of me belongs to imlive.

and they are cropped so they took off the watermark.

Thanks for his site ..... I don't really have the big bucks for a lawyer right now but I am sure in future cases since this is not the first time this has happened I will need to keep him on speed dial.

The water marking does not do much when they go out of thier way to take it off. what pissed me off is the person who made the fake page is actually giving out my msn account.

if you dont have the money for a lawyer then try and get the website owner to remove it, otherwise there isnt much you can do.

Have you tried to find out who is hosting their site?

he is being a dick so I am trying to get my webmaster to do something about it since he took some of the pics that are posted on the site, I don't know if imlive is going to do anything about my image the own being on it as well.

not sure how much a lawyer would charge to issue a DMCA to the website, might try and ask imlive to do it for you.

usually when someone steals my pics that is not promoting my image via an affiliate program I just contact the hosting company but they have thier blocked

Plus you have to be a member to see the rest of my pics that they stole.

Just send a C&D email to the site requesting they take it down.
Most will without any second thought.

This guy is being a complete dick and thinking its a complete joke. I should post the msn chat.

I contacted imlive and Mark to see what happens.

Try to contact website owner first, if he is not agreeing on helping you contact his hosting provider. He must do that as it doesn't cost a dime to him for taking them down.

he is being a dick and won't take them down, i have done everything I can as for the lawyer front I will let Mark handle that part since he is the photographer for some of the pics posted and imlive owns the images some of the images on the page from when I broadcast my webcam shows

I think I have done everything I can now it's reaching the point where I am almost obsessive.

They even go as far to steal the icq logo to use for the online/offline status.

A very light watermark on the very bottom with your domain name will save you tuns of hassles...

Mike is a complete douchebag. He owns a few sites and thinks that he is untouchable ... however, in our dealings with him, we had success going through datapipe.

Honestly, the LESS you deal with him directly, the better.
