Latest ghost in the house story

I made a post earlier this year about strange things going on in the house.

Things like faucets being turned on in the bathrooms. My bathroom has two sinks, all my stuff is at the left sink, the right sink however the water would be running.
I would turn that off, go into the living room, and I would hear a noise, go into the bathroom off of the living room and the water would be on there.

One night came home and found my short little 13 1/2 year old dog sitting on my huge king sized bed. He could barely jump onto a telephone book, could never make it onto the couch, let alone my bed which is very high.

Okay, so today I'm lying on the couch watching t.v.
We had a party Friday, and someone brought some Perrier bottles in the plastic containers. They left 3 of them on the counter. Well as I'm watching t.v., all alone in the house, one of those bottles just falls onto the floor, scares the living shit out of me when it hits.

I'm sure there will be those who will come in here and say "the wind blew it off." LOL...this is a full bottle with over 20oz of liquid in it. It just didn't get blown off the counter by the ceiling fans.

yea, it was ghosts

In our last apartment we would run a bath and suddenly the water would just stop. When we'd go check, the nobs were turned off, and turned tight. Was kind of creepy. Would happen pretty often too.

i love ghost stories... actually i experienced a lot of weird shit like this.. :)

after my mother died, and she had never been in my vegas house, we would smell cigarette smoke in the house. She smoked, but no one here does, and we don't allow smoking in the house.

I would be sitting in my office working, come out and ask the girls in the living room, and they would say..."yeah we were just talking about how we could smell it too."

How about a house blessing, to get rid of the ghosts.. uhmm, ok don't.. it's a bad idea:(

The plastic perrier bottles knock over very easy, do you have any pets?

I believe there is spirits around everybody, somebody must have left unfinished business or was murdered. How do the skeptics explain the water being shut off and on?

dcortez 08-05-2007 08:57 PM

Of course it would be easy to "knock over," if someone were here to knock it over.
No pets in the house, I'm all alone, was alone when it happened. The bottles were on the kitchen counter, I'm in the den right off of the kitchen, no one was in there, my roommate is out of town.

The scariest moment for me was when I found my dog on the bed. Anyone who knows my dog, and who has seen my bed knows he did not get up there by himself.

It was honestly the strangest thing ever. It reminded me of Amityville horror when the mother came back into the kitchen seconds after leaving it and chairs were stacked up on the table.

.. thats freaky man. I only have one ghost story, & then just one crazy ass dream, that I woke up from but couldnt open my eyes, yet I still felt a presence and heard the voice talking to me.... that was by far more freaky then the ghost story though.. I'm to tired to type it all out though..

but for the record thats insane. I totally understand the dog thing, my dog cant jump for shit either.

voa 08-06-2007 12:44 AM

Yeah this is very fuck up and very wierd.

jigg 08-06-2007 12:46 AM

gratz you have an alcoholic ghost :)
or he/she just wants some nice wine :)

That thing about your mom was cool.
I've experienced something similar at my great grandparent's house - hearing my great grandfather walk - he was wounded in WW1 and he dragged one leg a little when walking. And as soon as I became aware of it, it stopped. But then I heard breathing - heavy with slight wheezing - the way he did, felt like he was sitting right next to me and getting closer!

I grabbed my shoes and ran out in the snow :1orglaugh

Animals are more aware of things like that tho. so pay attention to your do and you might even be able to tell if something was around in the room.

My dog has behaved very odd at times like someone else was in the room and he was looking at them. I've seen him pace the edge of the sofa staring up in the empty air or on my bed acting like someone wants to sit on it and he won't let them. very bizzare and unsettling :helpme

My dog Kerouac did this too.
Whenever I would go into the kitchen, and he was on the couch, he would get on the arm and watch whatever I was doing.

Well one night, once again no other humans in the house, he sits up on the couch, goes over to his spot on the arm and starts to watch something in the kitchen. His head was moving back and forth as if watching something. I actually got up to see wtf he was looking at, nothing was there...LOL

wasn't that in Poltergeist?? and then she played with the daughter.. showing her husband when he came up what happend?? kid on floor one side of room then she'd "slide" across to other side??

damn that was a good movie

buzzy 08-06-2007 07:54 AM

it has actually recently been scientifically proven that spirits exist out of body when you have a near death experience (knocked out, brain dead on the hospital bed) so i wouldn't be surprised if ghosts or w/e exist
