Looking for very knowledgeable people to be Blog Writers.
I am looking for 1 person who is knowledgable in the following categories to write a blog post once a week.
SEO Domains TGP (running one and or submitting) Blogs /Rss Feeds Traffic (general) Legal Content (shooting and production) Talent (running your own solo site, modeling, etc.) Design Gay Sites I am sure there is more to add to the list. Next question, any ideas how to make this work. I know one of the big complaints about Kblogger type sites and the people who ran the blogs was that after the first couple weeks people didn't have time to make blog posts, they starting skipping weeks, the blogs were negelected. So besides the obvious of allowing them to promote their services on their blog, what other things would have to be offered to get someone to do this. If they did SEO work, they could give tips but if people didn't want to do it themselves they could hire the blog writer to do it. What else would it take to get people to keep up with their blog, pay them money? Any other ideas ? Some people will do it simple because they like to help, but even those people will get busy and they would put the blog on the side to do their own more important work. It has to be benefical to the blog writer and they have to get a lot out of it too, to give them the incentive to go back each week and make a new post and keep it going. any suggestions appreciated. |
bump for blog writers, comments, or any replies in general :winkwink:

I think the only real way you are going to be able to keep people posting is to pay them a set fee per post. The advertising factor is nice but if for any reason they feel they aren't getting a good ROI on it, as far as time writing to actual jobs received, then the blog will fall to the wayside.
Maybe you can also offer them some traffic from one of your other sites if you have compatible projects... |
thanks Geeknik,
We'd love to do this work for you. feel free to contact me via ICQ or email to discuss rates and more detailed information. Thanks |
I'll send you the contact info of someone I know from this board that does good work on ICQ this evening. I'd do it now but I'm walking out the door before I get in trouble (late to a b-day party)...

Ok, to all the people who just read the title of the thread and not my post :winkwink:, I am looking for Webmasters/Affiliates/Sites Owners, etc... who are knowledgable in a particular area who would be interested in writing a blog post once a week or every 2 weeks.

And, if you are a "guru" $100 wouldn't be enough of an incentive I think to really get their interest anyway. There has to be perfect combination or formula to do this, I just haven't figured it out yet. The sad part is that some of these people post on forums probably more then 1 time a week with real helpfull info. Most of the forum posts they make could have been used as their blog post, but they would rather post on the boards for free and deal with trolls then post on a blog which they could benefit from without the bs. |
Just a moment you looking for someone who have knowledge about all listed areas?

Second formula: have a popular enough site, so the exposure is worth writing it to them. Third formula: write it yourself. Fourth formula: hire cheap writers, and make for the lack of quality with high quantity. |

It doesn't have to be 1 person who knows all of those areas, just 1. |

#2 I think is the most logical, but it would have to be a very very popular site, something that isn't going to happen over night, so I can't use that approach. At least not any time soon. #3 I will contribute with my own blog, but I can only really talk on one topic. I am not that smart :winkwink: I don't know everything i just come across that way. What does SEO mean? :winkwink: |

Most of your readers know very little about the subjects you will be writing about, so you just spend an hour doing some research, then another hour writing a post about it. Stick to fairly basic things, and it works quite well Besides, most experts will stick to the basics as well - only rarely will they freely share their knowledge. |
All shit aside. There is nothing wrong with the concept, but it will only work if the site have a lot of traffic. Because Traffic and Exposure is one of the only incentives successful people are looking for. As you said before, a "guru" wont take time to write for you, if what you can give in return is $100.
They want traffic and exposure to brand themselves. So you will have to research the topics yourself, write it yourself, grow the site yourself. When you have done that, then - maybe - you can attract people to the site. This is only my personal opinion based on experience. |
