Should I upgrade from CS2 to CS3?

discuss. . .

EdgeXXX 08-05-2007 08:52 AM

Well, I guess that depends on which app you're talking about (or the entire suite)?

u-Bob 08-05-2007 08:56 AM

GITZINGER 08-05-2007 09:07 AM

Well, it depends on just how many of PS's features you use on a regular basis (would you consider yourself a Power User or do you use it to touch things up here and there)? Also, there are 2 different versions now (CS3 and CS3 Extended).

stickyfingerz 08-05-2007 09:19 AM

cs3 extended is working well for me. :thumbsup

EdgeXXX 08-05-2007 09:21 AM

Here's a link to a pdf that shows the new features of CS3 vs. CS2; if none of these features really appeals to you, I would say stick with CS2. :2 cents:

That hot. I still use 7.0 here n there. Mostly CS2. I learned on 4.0 That was Hi Tech

Havent even touched CS3 yet.

pussyluver 08-05-2007 09:45 PM

Still doing the Macromedia thing. All components seem to be well intergrated.... Dreamweaver/Firefox/Flash......

Should I move to Photoshop? I've touched it, but it would be a learning exercise for me.

Im running CS... Would really love to get the 3!

Profits of Doom 08-05-2007 11:08 PM

I would LOVE to know how many people are actually paying for this. With all of the free downloads of CS3 I can't imagine many...

born4porn 08-05-2007 11:22 PM

I just got cs3 but I haven't used it much yet, I'm waiting 4 my new wacom graphics tablet 2 arrive until I really bust it out! :thumbsup

zeruel 08-05-2007 11:27 PM

i guess CS3 Extended is the best... :)

dtoolbox 08-06-2007 02:03 AM

they totally removed imageready in cs3 which then i decided to go back cs2

Praguer 08-06-2007 02:12 AM

I think it's worth to update. There are a bunch of new features, an improved bridge and many of the old tools have increased functionality.

ichauch 08-06-2007 02:26 AM

The movie paint feature sounds interesting in CS3 extended.
What is one going to to with the matlab support, though? I am really curious about that.

everestcash 08-06-2007 03:56 AM

i like cs3 better
for some time I had both cs2 & cs3 installed on my pc but now I removed cs2 completely
