Relocating... where do you suggest?

I grew up in California, and ready for a change...

So, I have decided to spontaneously move. I am pretty much willing to live anywhere, but I have always wanted to live on the beach.

Since I can live anywhere... I also want to be able to get the most for my money.

Any suggestions??

New york is not bad at all.

J. Falcon 08-03-2007 01:51 PM

I can rent out my garage, half a block away from the beach.

First question is what do you do in the industry? More info would be helpful to steer you.Big difference if your producing or just marketing.

guess the site is down

Most for your money... well that rules out New York.

Miami is nice.

So is Austin if you are in your early 20s.

Scottsdale ... its only 131 degrees today :)

LA all the way!

jonesonyou 08-03-2007 02:25 PM

Outside of the States, is this an option?

madcash 08-04-2007 11:25 AM

I am a webmaster, so I dont need much other than the internet. I am definitely open to moving out of the country, and I want to be away from the city. It probably won't be long term... but I am ready to just get away for a while.

My only requirement is to be right on or near the beach. :thumbsup

If I were in your shoes, I'd move to Italy for a few years...

WHY? Just because...

sniperwolf 08-04-2007 01:53 PM

I've always dreamed of living in New Zealand...

try there. :)

Oklahoma City is pretty nice. The downtown rejuvenation of the Bricktown district has made it a worthwhile place to live/visit. :thumbsup

Depends on the $$ you want to spend you can go just south of the border and get a nice house for rental. for about 900 to 1300 a month. Still close to the border and can cross when you need. Or Cancun is nice. A little cheaper, but nice.

Yeah, I just relocated to Huntington Beach, from Dallas, TX and the housing in Cali sucks for the money, hey but the beach is cool, if you don't mind living in a shoe box for $750,000.

I looked at Mexico, an still might move south of the boarder at some point.

Cash 08-05-2007 01:02 AM

Move to Switzerland, they have nice beaches there :)
Move to a paradise beach :)

madcash 08-06-2007 10:02 AM

I have been looking into Mexico... has anyone lived near the mexico beaches?

Isnt that a long way from the beach though?

I would move to a Greek Island I think, or maybe the Caribbean.

candyflip 08-06-2007 10:14 AM

I moved to Florida at age 22. Best thing I ever did...even though I ended up back in NY.
