Are you a city mouse or a country mouse?

I grew up in woods with barely anything around but I think that even then I knew I was a city person because I always craved going to cities. As soon as I could pick where I wanted to live I first went to Boston for university and then to London. So, I am a city mouse.

Would you rather live in a city or in the country?

Finike 08-02-2007 03:09 AM

I followed my new girlfriend from my city to her country residence.
So I am a country rat!

Angelo22 08-02-2007 03:09 AM

I grew up continously swapping between cities and country...

But i prefer the city, there's everything i need

Blue Player 08-02-2007 03:12 AM

City when I was in my twenties. Now I am a dad I live just outside London in Kew in a house with a huge garden and there are forests all around us. Kew is London but it is also very open, like Richmond.

The kids get the best of both worlds. Chelsea was a fun playground for me but Kew is much better.

bizarrejan 08-02-2007 03:12 AM

In betweeny myself :thumbsup love both,:thumbsup

GreyWolf 08-02-2007 04:30 AM

Kinda half and half citco mouse :) Could never live in a city again, but - nice to have "city facilities" not far away.

frank7799 08-02-2007 04:37 AM

My wife and me used to live in a city for some years but we were fed up with it last year. So we bought a country side house and now we are living in the neighbourhood of corn fields and willows.

Casa Nova 08-02-2007 05:07 AM

Im definitely a City rat! I can't stand being in the country away from all the busy bodies. I like to be in a lively crazy atmosphere because it matches my personality.

Nothing wrong with having the best of both worlds. Where I live, I am on the outskirts of the city. I can see the skyline but I still need to take a 20 minute train to get into the center. My area is built up but it isn't right in the middle of the city but I get the benefits..to me it is almost like the skyline is a security blanket that makes me feel better.

I am chauncy 08-02-2007 06:58 AM

neither I don't care about where i live as long as its within no more than a mile from water grew up on a big lake moved away for one year couldn't stand not being able to go out on the water moved right back

Scott McD 08-02-2007 07:29 AM

I prefer in and around the city.

The country is ok to escape for a few days or something, but not to stay. Well, not for me anyway...

Tom_PM 08-02-2007 07:31 AM

Country. It's nice to be able to look up at night and see the stars and hear the quiet. Can't wait to get back to that after so many years in and around big cities.

sniperwolf 08-02-2007 07:56 AM

Fortunately, I experienced and enjoy both of the two world. :)

I grew up also in the country side (actually province is what we call here) with my grannies. When i took up college, my mom got me here in the city. And now living here in the city for over 6 years now. But i still go and visit my grannies in the countryside. so i guess, I'm a city mouse now. :)

J. Falcon 08-02-2007 07:56 AM

I prefer the country. I lived in the city most of my life and when my girlfriend and I decided to rent together we chose a house far away from city. The quality of life is much better.

calibra 08-02-2007 08:17 AM

A country house close to a big city :thumbsup

Country boy for sure, love nature. But like most of the answers, still enjoy some time around the bright lights ;)

Suburban mouse

pornvue 08-02-2007 09:30 AM

I guess Im a city mouse...i got bored so easily on countryside (no internet, full of cows lol)

M0nk 08-02-2007 11:16 AM

I´m more like a house mouse....but i get acustomed to every place..

Brother Bilo 08-02-2007 11:18 AM

I guess I'm more of a suburb's mouse. I like the city nearby, but couldn't stand living in the middle of it. I love being out in the woods or nature, where nobody's around, but I wouldn't want to live there. I need more social interaction then that.

WebairGerard 08-02-2007 11:22 AM

love the city and I love the country. I'm a hybrid mouse. :)

I've never lived in a city, per se, but I lived in the 'burbs all my life until 6.5 years ago. Living in the country is a DREAM! My cousins lived on my grandfather's 1500 acre cattle ranch from the time I was in the 6th grade and I was SO jealous. Funny that THEY all now live in the city ;)

teg0 08-02-2007 11:26 AM

City. I miss living in Chicago with no car and riding the L all the time.

Phoenix 08-02-2007 11:29 AM

Monique Niccole 08-02-2007 11:30 AM

I live in the country now, but I MUCH prefer the city. I like to be within walking distance of a store or market.

DaddyHalbucks 08-02-2007 11:32 AM

Country mouse. I hate cities.

D 08-02-2007 11:37 AM

City Mouse.

But I dig on the calm of the country.

My current Apartment overlooks a natural expanse, smack in the middle of the Valley, Los Angeles.

Chilling on my balcony is a refuge I use often.

Flynn 08-02-2007 12:13 PM

For the last 7 years I've been a city mouse living in downtown Seattle. I love being where all the action is.

AdultHardcore 08-02-2007 06:36 PM

I grew up a country mouse changed to a city mouse and now I'm back to a country mouse which I prefer overall.

WinstonTriplexcash 08-02-2007 07:49 PM

Never could decide, whenever I'd be in a city I'd crave the country air and slow pace of life -and, as soon as I'm in a country environment, I'd wish I was back in the city... Oh well....

zand_stein 08-02-2007 08:02 PM

I grew up in city however ,

City. Fuck all them thar country bumpkins.

TheJimmy 08-03-2007 01:03 AM

I grew up in LA in the 70s/80s and it was kick ass....sherman oaks, encino, brentwood, santa monica, etc...

Today you could NOT pay me to live in those armpits, however they are FUN to visit...I'm old and spoiled. I demand pristine coast line and blue skies...and no crowds...and crime rates much like rural idaho...

That being said, I DO enjoy visiting my old stomping grounds, there is some alive/magic in the city of the angels....

and when I lived in AZ for many years...I enjoyed the livelihood of Scottsdale/PV over Tucson any day of the week (although I preferred the air quality and location of the foothills - district 16 - in Tucson over the valley of the sun)...

It's really always a 'give and take' issue.

.
