Me neither, dont know what all the fuss is about, just wondered what you US guys think about them, personally think they are embarrassing

Red Ezra 08-01-2007 03:52 AM

dont believe the hype

xcitecash 08-01-2007 03:52 AM

I was shocked to see only 2000 people turned up when he was introduced. when it was shown on UK TV it was cleverly edited and cropped to only show him in closeup so we didnt see the lack of crowds

in football terms 2000 people is nothing. Newcastle Utd a second rate English team gets 3000 watching them train on a regular basis.

I fear Mr Beckham has made a huge mistake for his worldwide image as the US will not embrace him or his wife. He is a great football icon and will be wasted on the US

He sells out the arena he plays in... That never used to happen. Then again it seems he sold out his own country...

Since we got him, I ain't player hating.

littledragon 08-01-2007 04:48 AM

My question is, where is the Galaxy getting the money to pay him? Apart from Mexico, soccer is almost non existant in north america...

bizarrejan 08-01-2007 05:01 AM

Yeah I thought that too, $125 over five years, gotta get it from somewhere, maybe with the increase in fans now

$125 million wow

dav3 08-01-2007 03:29 PM

not interested

bausch 08-01-2007 03:33 PM

Yes. They are both major. Beckham and Posh.

Posh's closet is worth more than what the average GFY'er will make in a lifetime.
If that's not major I don't know what is.

Klen 08-01-2007 03:39 PM

Let me see....I dont give damn

Posh earned a lot more female fans since her show Moving To The U.S was shown. It made her seem very likeable and hilarious, actually a lot of people are upset her show is not permanent.

Lots of people here in the U.S also love her for her style and fashion sense. oShe's a true diva and fashionista, not all "LA casual" like most of the celebs here. She's always decked out in the best of the best. I love it how she has an Hermes bag in every fucken color of the rainbow. She's a diva.

Her and David make are "major" together. I love it how she always says "major". That's hot.

nico-t 08-01-2007 05:26 PM

his contract with Galaxy is 10 mills. The rest are his probable image rights.

BusterBunny 08-01-2007 06:07 PM

i am interested...in watching the whole fiasco fail miserably:2 cents:

bausch 08-01-2007 06:11 PM

Seriously though, Posh does have major fans in the U.S... Her show did quite well and made her seem incredibly funny...

Her and David are probably the most stylish couple in the universe. L.A was made for them and they were made for L.A.

So glam. I have been following the other WAG's around too on some other boards. None of the other WAG's are as glam as Victoria. That girl from "Girls Aloud" is ok, but Victoria is the queen of all WAGS.

I'm not interested in soccer though. I am only interested in Victoria and David.

not a fan of soccer but I do respect it as a sport and how difficult it is to play that being said he has in his first week and a half has given soccer the final death blow in the us by sitting out his first two games with a week injury that he should have been able to play through come on our sport hero's in the us play with broken arm, broken legs, sprains, strains he just proved the misconception that soccer is a sissy sport and set us soccer back 20 years its sad really

Yeah I agree, but it may be something to do with his insurance, they have all sorts of clauses in the policies, and they may not have allowed him to play even with what we would see as a "pathetic weak injury"

LA Galaxy shirts have sold over 250,000 world wide already. He made Real Madrid $600m in football shirt sales during his time there.

He is an alright player but a god at selling shirts.
