WTF? No video games in Greece?
Is this shit for real?
http://www.msnbc.com/news/802893.asp?0dm=C14LT#BODY Somehow looks legit.... but wtf? |
*Nods* It's for real.

Greece is the word.

That is some sad ass shit.
|
I am from Greece.
And this sad news is real. But don't believe we don't play games. This would be rediculous. This law will be vanished in obscurity in less than two months. |
pxtreme75,
So why is there such a hardcore stance against gambling in Greece? Any reason in particular? A particular group complaining, etc? |
Yes, there was serious problems with gambling.
The government initially tried to prevent gambling, but then it said that all games could be turn into gambling machines.. and there was no way to distinquish between them. So it decided that all games should be prevented. It is a ludicrous law. Many many people are trying to prove it is inefficient also. And the press is attacking it too. |
That's pretty fucked up shit there. I think that they could've put in enough stuff into the law to make it legit to play regular games. I don't know about you, but I know that I've never seen any kids gambling on their Game Boy Advances yet, he he he.
|
Well, tell this once more...
Do you want to play chess? Lets bet our websites. |
what's next? banning rock paper scissors?
|
"The government there has banned all electronic games across the country, including those that run on home computers, on Game Boy-style portable consoles, and on mobile phones."
Human stupidity never ceases to amaze me.... and that is pretty sad. Even on mobile phones? I can understand banning Wolf-3D, but banning pong on mobile phones? Sheesh. "If a customer is found to be running any sort of game, including online chess, the café owner will be fined and the place closed." ONLINE CHESS?!?!? |
