Do you read in the toilet?
 

I have always done it. So much so that there is a bookshelf over my toilet. People think I am joking when I say that I got most of my degree while in the loo but it is probably true.

Do you read in the toilet or is it an information free zone?

Not staying long enough to do that. Never more than 5 minutes. Just doing my job there and I'm out! lol

never heard of anyone reading in the toilet. reading on the toilet, however, seems to be common.

i never do -- i am in and out. now thats control.

Same here - taught myself a few programming languages and developed some good biz plans in the loo :) It can be just as productive as any office :thumbsup

I used to read in the bog. There's something nice and relaxing about a bathroom - maybe its because it's a clinical-like room with no distractions and a frosted window, but I strangely like my time in there.

As weird as that may sound...

lol..I was referring to 'the toilet' as the the room..ie 'the bathroom' or 'the loo' (where I live).

lol no..I think it just is the one place I have traditionally been able to read for more than two minutes without somebody interrupting me. So, it became habit.

When it came time to get my degree I was able to decide between a B.A. or a B.S. because so many of my courses overlapped both of them. In the end I took a B.S. and joked that since so much of my reading was done in the loo it felt apt.

depends..it has been known that I am still reading long after I still need to be there but other times I just pick up a 'dip in' book or magazine for a short read.

magazines and the shitter were made for each other

finished two books in the last year in there .. but usually just bike mags

I knew a guy who had a huge encyclopedia collection in his bathroom.

I check my email on my phone and play solitaire.

I will admit that my pda makes it into there sometimes too.

Even if I have to take the worst emergency shit(the turtle head is peeking out), I will run all over the house looking for something good to read. I've even settled for junk mail supermarket circulars if I can't find a Maxim.

Most of the time I flip through my photography magazines or something, but some times I also bring my PSP up if I know it might take a bit :upsidedow

I play videogames or watch some tv/movies. Nintendo DS or Sony PSP. Both work well.

Yeah I'll admit it. Not worried about it, but if I ever fall asleep in there, I'm calling the doctor, hehe.

I take my morning mail into the crapper with me and read it. Some of it even has a duel use sometimes. :D

Or 'leaf' through the latest stack of flyers, or the community newspaper that comes free every Thursday.

That's about it. Just something to 'pass' the time.
