A company with thousands of parked domains has one that I want.

I've never dealt with these types of people before. Are they as open to dealing their domains as regular webmasters?

They just registered the name late last year, and it's not worth much. The name is unique and it's certainly not getting typein revenue. I just like the name for a brand.

Should I ask them for a price first, or present an offer? What kind of offers do companies like this look for?

I have been seeing more of some that i would be interested also...but they never reply back to emails?

Send them an email with a reasonable offer. Chances are if it's a good domain, brandable, fun, quirky etc... They will want at least a few hundred for it. If it's highly brandable, or has some other intrinsic value, be prepared to pay a few thousand if not tens of or even hundreds of.

It really depends on the domain and how attached they are to it.

if it is ultsearch, then no

they have jace.com and won't respond to any inquiries...I even offered $5k and they didn't reply

If they don't respond to email, and have a phone # listed in WhoIs. Give 'em a call. :)

If they are unreachable, most likely they don't want to be contacted, and you're SOL.

i also wanted a site url that was owned by such a company they wanted to have 2800 dollars for the domain.. so i replied to buydomains.com that they are idiots.. simple as that.. just talk to them maybe they have a fair price for the domain.

BuyDomains will haggle a little.

XPays 07-31-2007 03:03 AM

that is a good sign for you, be persistent

StarkReality 07-31-2007 03:30 AM

Just make sure you include an offer, even if it's a bit lower than they expect, they'll respond. From my experience, mails without any offer, just asking for a price, go straight to trash.
