    Iphone, false advertising lawsuit?

    So, I'm sitting here playing with this thing, I and for the most part I like it, but don't all the add talk about how the safari browser is just like the original one? how your getting the whole net, yada yada yada... yet it doesn't support java OR flash... so how can they make that claim? Someone has already filed a case over the battery, and not being able to change it once it dies (about 400 charges according to apple) I doubt that one will go far, as it's pretty clear you cant change it... but this browser thing.. hmmmm. Words already out that there is going to be flash in a soon to be released update... but thats pretty much vapor ware as of now...

      I think what they mean by the "real" internet is you can look at the "actual" webpage as opposed to one created just for phones. In other words, on my phone a lot of everyday webpages (for local clubs, newspapers, etc.) don't look normal, but are supposed to on the iPhone.

          True. the pages do look great, and just like they are designed to look... except if your site has any flash or java in them. Been reading around the web about it, and it sounds like a pissing match between apple and adobe, both wanting full control over it. Still, they are making the claim in the adds that your getting the whole net... yet your being limited.

          Also, whats the deal with no downloads... that sucks.

              If Apple had ever said that you wouldn't look like a pretentious idiot sitting in starbucks tapping away at your phone then there would definitely be grounds for a false advertising suit.
