Software to rip galleries and create new gallery pages
 

hi,
ive seen some software (php based) before that will basically take a normal FHG (as provided by sponsors) rip out all the images, create thumbs, and make a new gallery that incorporates your main website layout.

Does anyone know what software this could have been? It saves a lot of time when creating new galleries, and am thinking of just paying to save me this time and effort.

Actually, decided after looking into this (and alternative options) that i may go ahead and buy one. Can others shed their opinions on different products? UUgallery seems to be very impressive.

i only use arylia.. i wish they have bulk gallery generator.. uugallery and gallery stripper seems to look nice i have to check them

i wrote something in PHP about 2 months ago that does exactly that. its not hard.

I think I may go and get UUGallery. My main concern is the fact that i know i'll want to use it on more than one domain... :(

have own scripts for this - server-side wroten at perl. not only rip galls and making thumbs but also ftp upload to remote host etc

Here is something that I wrote a little while back. It will do what you want, but you will have to do some work in creating your template.

It will rip the thumbs and you can change the ImageMagick string and set it to the filter of your choice. You can resize thumbs or crop them. It will also create an exact replica of a FHG and transfer it to a location on your server. Even the template based "ripping of thumbs" will save the template on your server.

Give it a look. If you need any help with it just read the doc for contact info. The only cost is a hard link.

Yeah uugallery rocks for doing this for your blogs! I have it on two of my blogs and will be getting it soon for more. Saves time rather then doing it yourself.

Well, blogs are one thing. If you need a solution for galleries, check out my script, it does the same thing and is much more cost effective. The learning curve is not one that dictates a lot of time as I am willing to help you out.

I do have a custom cms I made for myself that could be adapted for blogs, but that would take a little time to implement as a universal script. The offer for help with the gallery script stands for anyone interested. It's actually pretty good. Don't forget, the source code is included for anyone to play with and adapt for their own needs.
