Facebook sucks...
 

I'm predicting it's demise within a year.

They opened it up to the public thus killing that air of exclusivity and now they are drowning it with excessive features.

Organized chaos is the best way to describe the site. 1,000,000 things going on at once. Friends are signing up to a million different apps in a million different directions.

I'm hearing/reading a lot of the new users signing up are abandoning their accounts to return to MySpace....and many of the old users (myself included) are leaving because the air of exclusivity is gone and because they are overwhelmed by all of the new useless shit. So I'm wondering how true those 30 million users numbers are.

This is what usually happens when big $$$ gets involved in something. MySpace may not have the clean design and shiny features that Facebook has....but unlike Facebook...MySpace recognizes their site is about the user and their friends.

Honestly, I don't like both of them, but facebook is definitely MUCH worse.

I think they opened just to get more users so they can sell at a higher price.

I can't handle Facebook. There are a billion ways to get to one place. Once you get there what you want to do isn't what they say it is. So you upload a picture and it goes in the wrong place.

Then you add an app, spamming your friends who spam you back who use it. Then it emails you to click a link that goes to a page that doesn't show why you clicked the link in the first place.

I mean seriously it goes on and on and on. It's laid out like a retarded kid on cocaine made the site.

I deleted my profile about 2 weeks ago.

I only use those retarded sites for selling t-shirts. It works. :)

Beware: if you deactivated your profile, it's not deleted. Just log back into the site and it will send you a confirmation email, and your account will be back with everything there. :1orglaugh

i feel bad for everyone that didn't jump on the facebook applications bandwagon when they were first released. there's even VC companies dedicated to funding facebook app startups.

within two months i was already able to sell my facebook app for $$$$$, not a bad return on a week of work....

My biggest worry about face book is that a lot of people put all their real infos there so it could be used easily for Identity theft.

I didn't so much hate when they opened it up, but this application bullshit has got to stop. It's ridiculous.
