100 US and British Jets <<Strike>> IRAQ
|
Good for England. I hope the Americans appreciate and recognize the value that the support of Great Britain brings.

Guess Allied forces have made their decision on Iraq. Let's just hope Iraq gets smart and complies with Allied requests (I doubt it though)...
WG |
The US is finished with requests, they're bent on bombing now. I think it's a tense political environment right now which makes things seem bad, but at the same time I want that motherfucker Saddam's head on a spear for the iraqi's to throw rocks at. That fucker stole my nike's.
|
Exactly why do you want Saddam's head on a spear?

This raid today is just the kind of electronic warfare warmup for the big show, but they've been running this kind of thing off and on for 10 years now. Probably see more of them in the next few weeks. |
Sweet, sounds like we're showing them who's boss
|
Let the mother of all battles begin. It's highly entertaining when the IRAQIs surrender to news crews because the wimps are hungry.
Iraq signed a peach agreement after the Gulf War and has decided to violate every aspect of it. Iraq is firing on planes patrolling the no fly zone (a condition of the treaty) and refuses to allow UN inspectors into their country (another condition of the treaty). Bomb the fuck out of them. Does anyone remember what Iraq did during the Gulf War? |

Hrmmm I liked Shiner Bach in Austin, Texas.. That's a good beer.. and Rickard's Red on tap here is tasty.. Anyone tried this uhmm Grolsch Blonde?
As to Desert Storm, remember the scene where the American tanks were blazing across the desert and the Iraqi tanks were going as fast as they could in the opposite direction? It's like fighting robo-cop and his army of plentymoney. |

I appreciate the support from GB, it's great that we work together so often. So thanks you crazy Brits! (I still hate British humor though.) |
How about taxing lumber so high for Canada, putting a firm grip ane exploiting tariffs, or invading our waters off Newfoundland for our fish, or maybe booing our national anthem at sports events, or uhmm flying our flag upside down, oh and allegedly burning our flag in the changeroom of an olympic hockey event final?
Oh. The Queen of England still actually has veto power in Canada, and her head is still on our coins. Oh. |

I won't bother reading this thread again, so don't respond to me. I'm not interested in another U.S.-Canada debate, thanks for turning the Iraq strike into one. |
Well the many of us who came here from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales to populate this country still consider ourselves part english. Imagine. I have an English name sir, and when my ancestors fought in the war they fought for the name of the Queen. Me too... Fuck you.

You know what I lied, but hey I'm drunk oh well.
You know what I'm Welsh, Scottish, Irish, and German. Quarter each. I respect the hell out of Britain, I love that they stick by us. But I'm an American, plain and simple, first and foremost. That doesn't mean I don't respect them, so don't assume it does. |
There's more to this Iraq shit than just Saddam being a psycho that needs to be eliminated.
I have to wonder how much this is about oil. I mean, Daddy Bush is an oil man, and so is Bush Jr., and Cheny... And Saudi Arabia is acting all batshit about us attacking Iraq - if Saddam isn't worthy of being attacked, then why the fuck are the Saudi's quaking in their boots at the idea of attacking him? Just have to wonder what else is at stake...I've heard new oil finds in the North Sea and Arctic make the Middle Eastern deposits seem like a tea cup next to Lake Michigan, but it'll be 10 years before it produces a single useable barrell... Fuckin' weird...:2 cents: |

And if GW attacks, then that's good news for anyone who may be in the defence industry, for example the Bush Family :winkwink: Then of course the US would be obligated to pay for the reconstruction of damaged oil pipelines and processing plants as they did after the last attack. This is probably good news for any company that gets the contract for all this work. Last time it was a company owned by Dick Cheny - I wonder who'll get the contract this time? :winkwink: |
the Brits stand tall, I think they are a great lot of people
|
It's fucking mind boggling, isn't it? And to think, Bush "won" the election campaiging on morals and values and what a scum Gore was because Clinton got his dick sucked by a fat intern and lied so his wife wouldn't find out.
Alright, cowpokes - now everyone knows the Enron dance, right? |

I kinda like Jello Biafra's idea of making US politicians wear Nascar racing suits, proportionally sized sponsor patches covering them head to toe... |

I am an American in Austria at the moment. I have the TV tuned to CNN all the time as it is the only English speaking channel offered, and my German leaves gaps on the other channels. I thought this thread was a joke as CNN has not said one word about this. Come on, isn't this a little more news worthy than the failed attempt on the Afghan president, which is the only topic of the news for the past day. In fact yesterday it showed Pres Bush saying that they were not settled on exactly what was the course of action and that congress would be brought in on the decision making process of this whole thing. This is seriosly fucked up and isn't a good thing to do with Palestine still in a big mess, trust me the Arab community sees this as a big fuck off.
Thanks for the post as I would not have seen this. |
