Wordpress gurus, a question please

Anyone know if it is possible to have the wordpress posts displayed like this?

i have three categories

Cat 1
Cat 2
Cat 3

i want it to post out
Cat 1
Post 1 in cat 1
Post 2 in cat 1....up to the last 10 or even better x amount
Cat 2
Post in cat 2
post in cat 2...and so on like cat 1 and cat 3 will be the same

Is this possible? we have tried on the wordpress forums with no answers or help really. Thought I would ask here!

I'm guessing you mean you want a x amount of posts from each category displayed on the main page right?

If so you should be able to take the category (archive) code and place it in the main page template. It may take some trial and error with the php include stuff to display more then the post titles, but perhaps this will get you going in the right direction.

PS YARGH!

Chio, we want to have the first categories posts show up to a certain amount, and then the second categories posts show up to a certain amount etc. I'll pass this along and see if it does the job.
