Running a surfer forum
 

What would you say:

Is it possible nowadays to create a surfer forum that is NOT targetting filesharing users?

I own a small forum and one of the main reasons that limit the forum growth is in my opinion that I don't allow filesharing on the forum.
How can you compete against all the competitors, who allow either torrent posts or rapidshare links? :helpme

well i had few forums in past - but posting images/links been limited only for registred users with manual aproval process similar to partner account request at tgps

its a very legal grey area with no convictions.

IMO more people own surfer forums on GFY than care to admit.

It's an extremely grey area as squizzel said. Your best bet is to email your sponsors and discuss ways of doing this with them that don't violate their TOS.

Your more apt to have this question answered on other webmaster forums that I can not list.

surfer forum = total waste of your efforts

depends how do this forum and how run it.
