Post production doesn't start until October.

The problem with the movie is that it didn't come close to the depth & detail of the book.
The movie was 3 hours long, but it still felt very very rushed.
It would have taken another 2 hours to cover some of the detail from the book, but overall the film was lots of fun to watch.

Watching the movie reminded me of a book report. You take a 400 page book and write down the jist of it in 3 pages.
You can explain the story but it has no depth to it.

lol, dont you ever go out? its a top 5 movie of all time

They could have easily spent another 2 hours on the film and you would still think it rushed along.
The book is so immense, but the film was lots of fun to watch.

yeah. the book has so much, it would really be impossible to make a movie that captured it all.

Fletch XXX 09-05-2002 07:44 PM

i'm actually reading the book now, didn't read em when i was a kid, anyways, yeah, i kinda feel that the movie left out too much, and changed too much, but like you said, it really would be impossible to cover the detail of the book.

too bad they didn't make a movie of "the hobbit", that would've been great, but apparently the same people don't have the rights for some reason ( i read that somewhere ) seems strange to me though

MetaformX 09-05-2002 09:00 PM

all the Lord of the Ring movies will be great....but you know what will be better? my upcoming site: www.LordOfThePorn.com

archer 09-05-2002 09:50 PM

the book is better..but then i read that first.

the movie is very very good...captures the spirit of the book well...

and not to put too fine a spin on it... Orlando Bloom(Legolas) is very easy on the eyes.

StacyCat 09-05-2002 10:37 PM

Okay, orlando bloom is really fucking cute in the movie, but off camera with that mohawk, ugh!

ADL Colin 09-06-2002 03:08 AM

Fletch,

I liked it. A lot.
