Does cocaine "work out" your heart as if you were running?

is it the same work?

ServerGenius 07-29-2007 10:47 AM

if that were true I'd be fit like hell.....oh wait I am...:eek7

NTM 07-29-2007 10:53 AM

i'm talking about heart only

Jim_Gunn 07-29-2007 01:37 PM

Of course, it doesn't. Coke affects your brain and the way it controls and receives feedback from your body especially the part of your brain that controls your heart and it also affects your whole respiratory system and makes your heart beat in an inefficient manner. Your heart can even stop from doing too much coke. It's not at all like doing cardio vascular exercise.

Big_Red 07-29-2007 01:44 PM

just curious as to where you are trying to go with this logic?

k0nr4d 07-29-2007 02:02 PM

he's trying to determine if its better to work out while high on coke is my guess heh

FakeNick 07-29-2007 02:03 PM

no idea why dont you go and snort a pound and come back to let us know

MikeVega 07-29-2007 02:10 PM

Don't forget its remarkable slimming/diet-support properties (to say nothing about its value in combating clinical depression or even just everyday cases of "the blues." ) :thumbsup

Blue Player 07-29-2007 02:17 PM

Freud used to prescribe it to all his patients. It must be good for you!

starpimps 07-29-2007 02:58 PM

You don't need a medical degree to understand that cocaine doesn't put the same strain on your heart as cardio exercise. True, in both cases, doing a line and running will both make your heart beat faster, but what is going on in your body in either situation is not at all equivalent. The electrical signals sent to your heart after doing cocaine are disrupted and have completely different patterns, your valves misfire and the complicated contractions of this most important muscle in your body would show a different pattern on an electrocardiogram display even at the same beats per minute than they would if instead you were sober and exercised.

Ephedra doesn't act like cocaine and what does that have to do with anything anyway?

Wrong? Diet supplements don't more often than not add caffine\ephedra to jack up your metabolism? I said the question has some validity I never said it was healthy.

I wasn't saying they act on your body the same, you kids sure do like to shove words in peoples mouth. I simply said them both being potent stimulatants I could see someone being curious as to if they worked similiarly on you when working out.

They're both stimulants, I imagine it would have a similar effect

Not similar enough for you to insist on maintaining this ridiculous premise.

DJ Jace 07-29-2007 06:46 PM

Juicy D. Links 07-29-2007 07:38 PM

Go snort a few 8's and come back and report to us what happens

StarkReality 07-30-2007 01:59 AM

Heart workout ? I think it's more like a brain workout, similar to hitting yourself with a baseball bat all day.

SomeCreep 07-30-2007 02:28 AM

Yes, cocaine is good for joggers and athletes.

xNetworx 07-30-2007 02:35 AM

Cocaine has made a huge comeback since extasy went out.

The question in this thread is rediculous. I didn't think anybody was that stupid... even on GFY.

If coke was as good as exercise I'd be on the Scarface diet.
