Fish & Shemp are right. Thumbsplus is good. You can also use one of your current image editing programs. Fireworks, Photoshop, etc.
|
Start -> Programs -> Accesories -> Paint -> File -> Open -> (Choose file) -> Open -> File -> Save As.. -> (Save As Type: JPEG) -> (File name:Type in file name here) -> Save -> File -> Exit

I should have mentioned I need the program to do the conversions in batches with renaming them and all.
I am a PS and Fireworks fan... I wish the had that option. |

You can use action scripts in photoshop for auto-renaming, saving for web optimized, etc.. Then run the batch on a directory, by "automate->batch"
That's how we do ASS's sample pictures, it's a crude way of doing it but sure saves us a ton of time. If you're really smart, you can have your code look for directories on the web server and auto-load the images no matter what the filenames are.. So for me, if the sample image I grabbed is pussyporkin.jpg it makes pussyporkin-t.jpg and saves optimized, then I just upload them to the site ID directory and they appear on the website. Gonna change it to rename and resize the files on the unix server automatically after uploading a sample soon I think.. |
