Ask an average sampling of people in the "free world" and neither would be the "leaders of the free world". Neither ever have been - just more words/labelling to gain an ounce of credibility and appear righteous.

I can't disagree with you Stefan. I don't like both exactly for the reasons you pointed above. Believe me or not, but Russia is not delighted with Putin. However the subject of this poll wasn't "do you love any of 'em?". I just asked who is more respectable as a person.

putin does great job running huge wild country like russia, he def gets my respect. unfortunately i can't say the same thing about bush.

Don't get me wrong but I think that rebuilding of Russia was not a personal goal of Putin. It was an organic process IMHO :2 cents:

personal goals and interests aside, i think putin does great job being president of russia. that organic process you mention could have naturally swung in to another direction be there someone else in his place. imagine having someone like lukashenko for instance as russian president, no natural resources would be suffiecient to get russia out of slump

Putin does do things for the people like take back what was stolen by the Olgarichs where as Bush tends to steal and give to the American corporations who back him.

Even though Putin has been implicated in a few assassinations it is nothing in comparrison to Bush's illegal war.

America is now the laughing stock of the world with a shit worthless currency. Russia on the other hand does have alot of financial clout and is held in high regard.

Only devout republicans and American patriots will vote for Bush on this.
